After about half an hour, they finally arrived.
Though called a village, was actually a town—a large one. But being in the middle of the mountains made it feel very remote.
Jack and Fing got out of the car first, followed by the others.
Trema smiled and said, "Captain Jack, this is Village. I'll leave you to it now."
Jack nodded. "Thank you, Director Trema. Take care."
Trema turned and left while Jack led his men into the village.
The village was eerily quiet, with every household door shut tight. Occasionally, a villager would peek out of a window, only to quickly retreat when they saw the group.
"These villagers are so timid," Keta muttered, pouting. Then he leaned closer to Jack and whispered, "Captain Jack, Fada's house is at the westernmost end of the village. Should we go find him directly?"
"Well, let's go," Jack nodded and ordered, "Try not to cause any trouble and don't let the people get scared. Remember that?"
