When An Opportunity Arise

Alex remembers his conversation with Hutogi from a while ago.

"Hutogi, the wound on your back... You need to treat it!" Alex sees the slash wound on Hutogi's back. Alex opened up the bottle of healing potion and poured it onto Hutogi's back.

"Ah, you don't need to-" Hutogi tried to politely refuse, but it was too late once Alex poured it into his back. And then, Alex is waiting, and waiting. But the wound didn't heal even a bit.

"I-I think this is fine."

"NO! Why didn't it heal yet? Did the potion is defect?!" Alex panicked when he saw that the healing potion didn't work on Hutogi.

"No, that's not the case. Let's say... It was an exchange."

"An exchange?" Alex didn't know what Hutogi meant by exchange, but he picked that word when he healed Mr. Jeref in the underground prison.

"Now, now, let's move forward and save the people in danger." Just like that, Hutogi changed their topic as he ran forward.

"NOOOOO!!!" Alex finally knew the meaning of 'exchange', which is, that he can exchange his healthiness with other people, like how he exchanges Alex's injury of the near-death state with himself. Let to Hutogi bleed with a broken bone all over his body.

Alex hurriedly went to Hutogi who fell on his knees.

"Senior Hutogi! Can you hear me?! Senior Hutogi!" A few seconds passed, and Alex noticed the slight movement from Hutogi as Hutogi looked at Alex.

"Yes, I'm fine, don't worry. I can still stand even with these injuries." Hutogi stands up before Alex, but Alex persistently asks Hutogi to rest down.

"No no no! You're really in a bad shape right now! And it's my fault! Please lie on your back and rest while you still can!" The two argue for a while until the multiple civilians come out from Alex's concrete fort and see the two.

"Y-You both, are you two is the one who's saving us?" Alex turns his head to the civilians. 5 people in total, 1 man, 1 woman, a couple of elderly, and 1 child who's standing behind the woman. Alex was relieved to see they were safe from the massive explosion from beyond the wall, but at the same time, he had no time to rest easy.

"Grr... Damn you..." The familiar voice made Alex turn his head around. And there he sees, Tezin on his two feet who survived when he got out from the robot before it blew up. From his attire, a goggle, a heavy suit all to his boots.

"Y-You're still alive?!" Hearing Alex's scared voice, Tezin giggles as he shows the cut wound on his throat. A shallow cut which is the proof Hutogi didn't manage to finish him off.

"Thankfully, I've seen how that swordsman swap your injuries with him. A truly dumb move in the middle of the war! DEMOLITIONIST!!! PROCEED WITH PLAN B! OBLITERATE THE WHOLE TOWN WITH THE MISSILES!" As the minute passed, Alex noticed a few people flying with the jetpack in the air. When he realized it, more than 100 people were seen they were looking down on the town.

And then, a few objects come flying to Tezin, covering him with metal-like objects. Until they are complete, Tezin, looks like he even becomes a robot himself.

"WITNESS ME! A PERFECT COMBAT SUIT ARMOR THAT'LL EVEN BE ABLE TO DEFEND EVEN THE NUKES! NOW! DEMOLITION TEAM! OBLITERATE THE WHOLE CITY TO DUST! EVEN IF OUR GUYS WERE CAUGHT IN IT, THEY'VE DONE WELL AS PART OF FLAMEBORN!"

"Guh! I won't let you!" Hutogi tried to stand up, but the bleeding on his body shackled his movement even more. The bright light shines all over the area. Is this the end? That's what Alex thought for a moment, considering there were still more civilians than the one behind him, he couldn't find any resolution for this particular problem.

"EVERYONE! GET BEHIND ME!!!" As Alex shouts, he covers his vicinity with everything he can command. Stone, concrete, metal, it's creating a large ball for the purpose of protecting himself with the remaining 6 people including Hutogi himself.

*BOOM!!!* 

Alex couldn't protect the other civilian in the end, that's what his decision comes to be. But for some reason, Alex could feel their presence even after the attack went off. And also the fact that the area didn't get blown up.

(What happened out there?)

Alex opens a small hole for him to see the other side of the thick fort. One by one, the bandit in the jetpack has been blown up by the incoming missiles coming from their side. Alex tried to see the source of the missiles, but it seemed it was from far away. 

Perhaps that's why the whole area didn't get blown off yet. Creating an opportunity for Alex to think the countermeasure against the flying enemies.

(Then, how about this...)

From an outside perspective, a small rock, size about the same as the fist. Tezin noticed the rock was flying upwards, from slow to super speed, it had hit the flying enemies from below.

"What?!" The force from the stone was enough to break a single bone from its distance. Each and every single one of the flying enemies was hit either lost their balance and fell or got blown up by the missiles. Tezin looked at the thick fort Alex made.

"You! It was you didn't it?!" From instinct, Tezin immediately knew Alex was the one who caused the rock to fly upwards and hit his companion. He aims a cannon that's attached to his arm and points it toward the fort of concrete.

At the same time, Tezin realized the presence behind him. Cause him to shoot that very presence instead. But nothing is there, as he can see it. But at that time, Tezin for sure could see something there, perhaps it was his ally, not that he minded the friendly fire at this point.

"Boo! Were you scared?" When Tezin realized it, the arm wrapped around his shoulder, which made him surprised and kicked the person as he was creating a distance. But the kick hit nothing but air as the person evaded it.

Rudy, looking with a smirk on his face, wearing a lab coat. Has arrived on the scene.
