Once the jet landed at the airport in Ural, Greb had already organized a car to pick us up.
“How far is his home?” I asked Greb.
“About an hour's drive. I already called ahead to inform them that we were on our way,” Greb informed us.
“Sh*t.” I rubbed my face in frustration.
“Boss, why did Nikolai leave? When we came to get him with Madam Irina, he agreed right away,” Greb said.
“It is all a misunderstanding,” I responded and looked out the window.
I felt Alexa and Greb’s stares as they watched me, but I refused to utter another word. I closed my eyes and willed myself to remain calm amidst the raging emotions in my body.
I must have fallen asleep because I heard Alexa’s voice curse. “Are you f*cking kidding me?”
Opening my eyes, I was met with the sight of a large castle that came into the night view. “Where are we?” I rubbed my eyes in confusion.
“We have arrived, boss. This is the Lev castle,” Greb stated.
