NIKOLAI’S POV
We laughed in happiness as I carried Ivan and twirled him around. I placed him on the bed and landed on top of him. I stared down at him and asked, “Are you hungry? The maids have prepared breakfast.”
He nodded. “Nikolai, you better keep your word.”
“I will,” I vowed. “And you better keep your word, Ivan. I am not a man who takes betrayal lightly.”
He nodded as he got off the bed. Ivan left my room after a round of kisses and cuddles.
I stood by the window staring out into the morning view of Mount Ural. The snow picked up quickly as the strong wind hit the castle windows. I knew that I was risking it all by taking what I wanted but I did not give a damn.
A knock sounded at the door and Anna walked in. She was carrying bottles of blood and placed them on the table.
“I had to wait for him to leave.” I could hear the condescending tone in her voice. She was scolding me for interacting with a human.
