Chapter 28: I Want To

IVAN’S POV

Anton walked into my office late in the evening a week later. “Boss, we have a problem.”

“What is it?” I huffed. “I thought all the problems were sorted?”

“Timur has reported that someone has placed a bet on the scheduled matches that are in two weeks. And the bets are on the opponents of both Igor and Viktor.”

“What the f*ck!” I banged the table with my fist roughly.

“Hear me out first.” Anton raised his hand. “When Nikolai found out, he used his boxing friends in other cities and countries and the bets they placed were millions of dollars.”

“What?” My jaw dropped.

“This afternoon Uncle Sasha rushed to my office to ask if I knew of the matter. It seems Nikolai had suspected the people behind the bets and wanted Igor and Viktor to fail were within Odessa,” Anton announced.

“Those old geezers are at it again,” I muttered through gritted teeth. “So, what is the problem?”
