As I lazily sipped wine on my balcony late at night, the scent of a vampire nearby made me spit the liquid back into the glass. I opened my senses to the night to track where the damn vampire was. 


I stood up on the rails and spotted Ivan getting out of the car. He leaned back on the car, swinging the key around his finger. My eyes widened when I scented Yuri Alaric even before I saw him. Yuri was Cassius' younger brother and he stood there conversing with Ivan. 


I moved stealthily, stood behind him, and spoke through gritted teeth, “What are you doing here?” 


Yuri automatically dropped to his knees when he heard my voice. I was holding back all the anger as I saw him near Ivan. I deduced that the coven had sent him, but I wondered who had leaked all the information as I sent him away.
