Chapter 34: News From Mount Ural

The night had taken a turn when I revealed my vampire nature to Ivan. I expected him to be shocked, but he took it well. Ivan was different from the rest of the Eriks brothers and that was a glimmer of hope that they would all accept me.

“Ivan Eriks, you surprised me,” I spoke more to myself as I lay on the bed in the wee hours of the night.

I kept thinking about the feeling I got when Yuri approached Ivan and the way he seethed at Vidam. He was bound to cause trouble. Looking at my watch, it was close to 3 am.

I made a call to Vidam, and he answered the call immediately. “My Lord.”

“You ran away so fast,” I teased him.

“I would rather be away from the house,” Vidam confessed.

“He is just a child,” I chuckled.

“He is Cassius' brother, my Lord. Don't be fooled,” Vidam emphasized. “I have a feeling that there is more to his trip than he let on. And you know Yuri can never say no to his mother,” Vidam seethed.
