Chapter 67: Declarations

Elder Tenora arrived an hour later and joined in as we listened to bursts of laughter from the kitchen while we settled in the garden having drinks.

“I have always wanted to ask you a question," Gleb slurred. Igor shook his head in disbelief because he was already drunk by the second glass.

“Why did you not turn in my boss? You let him die,“ Gleb scolded me.

“He refused. You saw him when he came to me,” I answered.

“You should have insisted and turned him. He was a proud man.” Gleb smacked his lips in annoyance.

“He was. Do you think that Irina would have accepted him as a vampire?” I wondered out loud.
