Vivian
“Vivian, my dear, how are you?” My father came out to greet Grace and me as we came up the brick walk.
He suffocated me in a massive, burly hug.
“I’m fine, Dad,” I gasped out as I tried to refill my lungs.
He patted my back heartily and then turned his attention to Grace. “And who might this be?”
“Dad, this is Grace Riker. Finn’s sister. Grace, this is-”
“Jackson Summers.” Grace grabbed his hand and shook it. “An honor to meet you. I’ve heard a lot of stories about your time in Shadowmoon.
I gaped at her. Grace never told me she knew stories about my dad. It shouldn’t have surprised me. He wasn’t a lieutenant or even an underboss, but his talents were legendary.
“Come in, come in. I want to hear everything about your life, Vivian, and when I can expect this wedding to happen.”
I cringed as Grace shot me a glance. Sighing, I shook my head and motioned for her to follow him back up the walk.
