“No? Just like that?” Vivian scoffed. “Are you even going to consider it?”
“There’s nothing to consider.”
She blinked her big, brown eyes at me, her mouth hanging open just slightly. “This is my family, my sister, and you’re still concerned about controlling where I go, what I do, and who I see!?” She threw her arms out to the side.
One of her hands hit the headrest on Luce’s seat. The car swerved slightly.
I closed my eyes and clenched my fists in my pockets. “Sablepelt is too much of a threat.”
“That’s not it, is it? You don’t care what happens to Marian. You think she’s some conniving b*tch that has it out for me, isn’t that right?”
I turned away from her and caught Luce’s eye in the rearview mirror. Luce smirked at me and winked. I growled under my breath.
“It’s not like you, the boss of Shadowmoon, doesn’t have the resources to help find her. You haven’t even offered to help, you’re just concerned about figuring out what she’s up to!”
