Chapter 33: Childish

Finn

“What are you talking about?” Marian gasped. She tried to stand up.

“Where do you think you’re going!?” I grabbed her arms and threw her against the wall. My hand flew to her neck, and I held her in place.

Her eyes widened and she gave me a fearful look.

“F-Finn, what are y-you doing? It’s me…” she gasped.

I growled and tightened my fingers around her throat. “Drop the act, Marian. I know it is you.”

She huffed and stopped gasping and trembling. “How did you know?”

“I told you, you don’t smell like strawberries.”

Marian smirked. “I knew it! The two of you finally got pelvic. All that bluster about you wanting nothing to do with Vivian and now…” Her lip lifted in a snarl.

She started to struggle. Her feet kicked out toward my shins and I shifted to the side. She dug her fingernails into my wrist and arm.

I grunted but I held her in place.

She flailed against the wall and snarled at me, hissing and spitting. Her eyes were wild, like a trapped animal.
