Mezame vs June, Part 1

"So why am I here with you?" Asks June, the newest half-demon creation of Famine, and Famine's new "favorite child."

Behind the two…are dozens of half-demons, all created by Famine. Unlike the intelligent Austin, Winter, and June these half-demons are relatively mindless abominations, and not nearly as strong, yet still formidable enough to slaughter countless Pro Slayers.

"Because I've already fed my Bartender pills to all of the hordes of demons as well as Famine's genetically engineered half-demon army," Lucifer explains. "So with a simple snap of my fingers; all of the demons here will be at least five times stronger!"

"Alright; then go right ahead," June orders.

"I only listen to Lord Death!" Lucifer snaps.

"My mother is Famine, of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. You are a mere straggler that we allowed to join us," June replies. "We are not comparable."

"Fine," Lucifer snorts as he turns away from June, then turns to the Slayer Organization Headquarters. "Bartender…" Lucifer smirks as he snaps his fingers.

"UNLEASH YOUR FULL POTENTIAL, MY DEMON HORDE!"

Cursed Power explodes from the bodies of Famine's half demon army, who lets out an echo of mighty, intimidating roars.

"Attack, for our mother!" June booms as he swipes his hands towards the Slayer Organization Headquarters, sending the horde of half demons behind June charging forwards, with the intent of bringing the Slayer Organization Headquarters to ruins.

"Now, what's next?" Lucifer asks.

"I'll escort you to the roof of the Slayer Organization Headquarters, so you can continue spreading out your Bartender," June answers as he and Lucifer enter the Slayer Organization Headquarters (through a different lobby than the one that the Chairman is currently fighting in).

"Alright, this is as far as I go," Grover says as he teleports Daniel towards where Grover previously teleported Luis Sr. and Ella to Luis earlier. "This is where I last saw Luis, I'm not sure where to go from here."

"Don't worry, I'll use Cursed Power Sensing to locate the Four Horsemen," Daniel replies as black and dark gray Cursed Power begins bubbling around his eyes. "Thank you, Grover. Now go protect the Slayer Organization."

"That's the plan!" Grover exclaims as he teleports away.

"Now, to go after Luis," Daniel says, before running after Luis.

"Alright, here we go," June says as he pushes through a pair of double doors, entering onto the roof of one of the buildings of the Slayer Organization Headquarters.

"Now, to use my Bartender!" Lucifer exclaims as he slowly creeps to the edge of the roof, and opens his palms, producing more of his Bartender pills.

But before Lucifer can do anything else, a silver crescent-moon shaped emission of Cursed Power flies towards Lucifer.

"LUCIFER, DUCK!" June orders, and Lucifer quickly ducks to the ground, just as the silver crescent-moon shaped emission of Cursed Power flies right over his head.

Lucifer then spins around, seeing a hunched-over old man wielding a cane approaching him and June.

"What happens to the demons you've strengthened if you're killed?" June asks.

"Th-they go back to normal…" Lucifer answers.

"Then get out of here!" June orders.

Lucifer nods frantically -still shaken up by his near-death experience- then rushes off of the roof.

"Who are you?!" June asks as he turns to face the old man.

"Odin Shannon," the old man answers as he grabs the end of his wooden cane and pulls, slowly brandishing a straight-edged katana blade, peeking out from the wooden cane sheath. "And I may not be referred to by this name anymore, but you can call me "Slayer Mezame"."

"The previous Chairman of the International Pro Slayer Organization."

"Adaptability: Iron Gauntlet!" Jamie shouts as she reinforces her iron fists with her yellow Cursed Power, using them to slam into the approaching demon horde, and send them flying.

"Gunsmith: Assault Rifle!" Austin shouts as he constructs an Assault Rifle out of his Cursed Power and aims it at the approaching demon horde, squeezing the trigger, and using it to mow down dozens of demons where they stand.

"Zoo Keeper!" Ivy shouts as she blows into her flute, using it to send a wolf-form Lycan pouncing upon the demon horde, and using his claws and fangs to shred through them.

"Morale Arrow: Arrow Daggers!" Ralph shouts as he constructs an arrow out of his Cursed Power in each hand, wielding them like daggers, which Ralph uses to slice through a couple of demons.

"Woah, nice trick, Ralph!" Jamie calls to her comrade.

"Thanks, it's a new one!" Ralph replies.

After killing dozens of demons, the demon horde stumbles backwards a few steps, remaining still.

"What…are they doing…?" Jamie asks.

Rushes of Cursed Power then explode out of the bodies of the demon horde, who then let out an echo of ear-deafening roars, causing the four Pro Slayers (plus the wolf Lycan) to flinch and cover their ears in pain.

"They're doing that!" Ralph cries.

The horde of demons then charge the five Slayers, even faster than before.

"Adaptability: Iron Gauntlet!" Jamie shouts as she slams her Cursed Power reinforced iron fist towards the oncoming demons, but this time; when Jamie's fist makes contact with the demon in front of her…it doesn't even flinch.

"What?!" Jamie cries.

The demon standing before Jamie lets out a roar, before swinging its mighty claw towards Jamie.

"Jamie, look out!" Austin cries as he fires a volley of Cursed Power bullets upon the demon standing before Jamie, which harmlessly bounces right off of it.

The demon's claw then slashes Jamie, sending the woman flying backwards.

"Catch her, Lycan!" Ivy cries as she blows into her flute, sending Lycan jumping into the air. Jamie slams into Lycan's back, as Lycan lands on the ground, with Jamie draped over his back.

"Morale Arrow!" Ralph shouts as he fires a volley of arrows at the upcoming demon horde, which bounce off the demons, leaving not even a scratch. "Crap, they're so much stronger now!" He cries. 

"How did this even happen?!" Austin shouts.

"So we've got a big shot on our hands, huh?" June smirks.

"Maybe back in my day…but I'm long past my prime," Slayer Mezame answers as he draws his straight-edged katana out of his wooden cane, brandishing its blade at June. Mezame clutches the hilt of his cane-sword tightly between two hands, as its blade begins bubbling with Mezame's silver Cursed Power.

"Curse Awakening…"

"SOUL SLASH!"

Mezame then swings his cane-sword towards June, sending another silver crescent-moon shaped emission of Cursed Power flying towards June.

June counters Mezame's Soul Slash by holding his palm out to the old man and cupping his other hand before it. "Sunlight: Scattershot," June says as small bullet-like emissions of golden-white Cursed Power fire from June's hand, flying through the air towards Mezame.

June's Scattershot and Mezame's Soul Slash then collide in a burst of gold and silver Cursed Power, the two attacks canceling each other out.

But Mezame doesn't give June a chance to rest.

Mezame then reinforces the lower half of his body -his legs and feet- with his silver Cursed Power, before dashing towards June at blitzing speeds.

"You're fast, for an old man," June comments.

"I've always been called the master of Cursed Power Techniques," Slayer replies. Once in front of June, Mezame draws his cane-sword again, baring the blade of his cane-sword at June, as Mezame reinforces the blade of his cane-sword with his silver Cursed Power again.

"Curse Awakening: Soul Carver!" Mezame shouts as he slices his Cursed Power Barrier reinforced blade towards June, who counters by holding a hand up to Slayer face and saying: "Sunlight: Blinding Ray."

A golden-white flash of Cursed Power as bright as the sun emits from June's hand, blinding Mezame, who lets out a small grunt of distress. Too blinded from June's flash of Cursed Power to see, Mezame is no longer able to swing his cane-sword towards the half demon.

June then reinforces his right fist with his golden-white Cursed Power and launches it forwards, slamming his fist into Mezame's chest and sending the old man flying backwards. June's entire body then begins to glow that same golden-white color as the half demon crouches down into a running stance. June then takes off; dashing towards Mezame, almost at the speed of light.

"Sunlight: Heavy Artillery," June says as he reinforces his fist with his golden-white Cursed Power again, before slamming it into Mezame, sending the old man crumbling to the ground.

"You said…"Heavy Artillery"..." Mezame grunts as he pushes himself off of the ground. "What is that about?"

"What do you mean?" June asks.

"Heavy Artillery was the Cursed Ability of the late half-demon Pro Slayer Violet Reeves, Slayer Akuma…" Mezame explains. "How do you know what that is?"

"Ohhh, so that's what you mean," June replies. "My mother; Famine -previously known as "Slayer Kurāken"- was incredibly disappointed in my siblings; August and Winter, after they lost their fight to Luis Tramontana, Slayer Fūjin. Especially because my mother felt humility that her genetically engineered half-demon children were inferior to the biological Blue Demon. The loss inspired my mother to create something great, something even superior to her previous strongest children; me. By implanting the cells of Violet Reeves into a human fetus, and teaching me Cursed Power before my half- demon abilities awakened; my mother was able to create her greatest invention yet; a genetically engineered half-demon with two Cursed Abilities. And I may not look it; but I'm only a few months old. The only reason behind my birth, my creation…is to surpass my siblings in terms of power…"

Mezame's eyes widen. "Two…Cursed Abilities…?" He softly says to himself. "This battle is going to be a troublesome one."

Golden-white Cursed Power then explodes out of June's body. June's veins begin to grow gold, as the whites of June's eyes turn black, and the pupils white. June's eyes turn a bright bronze, as black rings outline them. A white, exoskeleton rhino-shaped mask then forms over June's face as well.

"Dammit, so he can-" Mezame begins to say, but he's cut off when June shouts:

"GOLDEN DEMON!"
