The morning still a bit windy with the gentle breeze which keeps on increasing its intensity in a slow pace.
But of course, the whole academy's compound is in riots.
The first years' being the composers of this very chaotic environment as they are still trying to get used to the academy life.
Some who forgot to submit their course selection forms, few who have lost their way and someone haven't gotten the idea to ask around.
Well as for Brianna, she belongs to the category that are plainly late to the orientation.
"Clam down a bit girl, you're just late and nothing else!!" Sylvia screams on top of her lungs while Brianna on the other hand gave deaf ears to Sylvia's screams and instead, cussing her under her breath.
"Girl!! Left!! The sector's main hall is by your left!!"
On Sylvia's instructions, Brianna ceased her motion, faced to her left and ran through the path on full speed.
Few seconds later, she got to her destination and the huge, crafted, wooden doors were still wide open although the whole ground wasn't filled up, obviously because of the number of students, therefore, her entering into the hall will undeniably result into an eye catching moment.
Despite the risks, she composed her self and walked in.
Immediately she walked past the door frame, the hall echoed with a single comment,
"Oh, finally, the last student has walked in."
As soon as the statement was made, all faces turned towards the door and all eyes fell upon Brianna.
Seeing her cover being annoyingly blown over, she dropped all composure; hands in her pocket, arched upper back and with a disappointed expression being worn on, she casually heads towards an empty seat, adjusted it and casually had her seat.
Murmurs went round the whole hall but eventually died down as everyone caught the stern look on the face of the one standing on the podium.
Brianna took her time to observe her whole environment and she notices that the hall was quite enormous only to find out that the whole first years fitted just on a single lane of arranged chairs.
"Wow, the number of students is quite low compared to other years, maybe, the murder incident is the main reason behind it." Brianna thought to herself as she goes on with her observation.
"Now students, thank you for giving me the consent to start my speech.
I will like to first congratulate you all for making it into this very academy, built in the soil of the Hertz Empire.
Originally, there were up to a thousand or more who came to get admitted in this very hall, with no chairs of course.
Unfortunately, a drastic accident occurred, thereby, demolishing the courage and will of most aspiring students, leaving us with only a hundred and twenty two aspiring students.
Then again, only one hundred and fifteen students managed to pass this year's acceptance examination.
It was as if the aspiring students that remained to take the acceptance examination were actually the hardened skulls in the game and will be able to reach and surpass our expectations.
Once more, this academy was unfortunate to loose seven aspiring students' lives, especially, that of a parader as well."
As the one on the podium made his last statement, Brianna's eyes widened in shock as cold sweats starts to run down her face.
She quickly began to glance at every student as quick and efficient she could be.
Her eyes did met with Gerald's who immediately faced to his right.
She ignored Gerald's actions and kept on with the search but actually, her heart was now beating at a fast rate.
She then locks eyes with Collins' who responded with a smile.
Brianna's eyes widened a more and with the visible fear being shown from her eyes, Collins quickly lost his smile and gently dropped his face down as he couldn't look at her knowing what he did.
Seeing his reaction, visible glowing blue veins were appearing all around her temple and neck as rage, disbelief, fear and despair gradually eats at her.
"Miss Brianna, behave yourself, a staff is making a statement, please, be composed and listen."
Hearing the staff's warning, Brianna slowly faced the podium and composed herself while barely holding onto her sanity.
She slowly lifts her face and locked eyes with the staff who then made silent mouth movements as he tries to send her a message.
After much observation, she finds out that he was just trying to tell her that it's okay.
Although his words, Brianna couldn't stand the look of pity towards her that he had but still managed to get herself under control.
"By the way, I hope you all have registered into the courses of your choice and are ready for the academy life?
Well, normally, we would have started lessons today but seeing the signs of a heavy rain or storm, the first years are exempted from today's lectures.
So, do make sure to make the rest of your day useful as much as you can.
Oh, and yes, just a short notice, a school festival will be held on the sixth day of the next month.
Just look at it as a way the academy is trying to connect you all with your seniors, the academy clubs, affairs, system and so on.
But no matter what you do on that very day, just make sure that you get along with your peers.
Before rounding up the whole orientation, I just want to make sure that everyone of you are familiar with the regulations within the walls of this academy.
Firstly...…
............…
"Gerald hasn't contacted for two days, Melvin, don't mind me asking… but why!?"
A wine glass was shattered onto the ground after the made statement.
In a spacious room, with an obvious long dinner table and at the table's sides are seated mysterious figures except for one who is currently standing with his back against the rest of the mysterious figures while his gaze falls onto whatever that is behind the window.
He also is the one who asked his question as well as shattering the wine glass.
"Sire, I apologize for such predicament. I too can't find a way to contact him.
Sire, if may say… it seems like he too… has faced exactly what his past predecessors faced." One of the mysterious figures, who seems to go by the name, Melvin, reported.
"Hmmm." A long deep groan was made by the questionnaire before landing on a decision and made an order.
"Contact the negotiator."
"As you wish sire." Another mysterious figure responded and a neon blue light suddenly appeared on the table, showing forth a magic circle with letterings.
"Ahhhh goodness, what seems to be the matter." A voice could be heard and it came from the magic circle.
"Greetings partner, sorry for the unannounced communication." The questionnaire finally turned and walked towards the table.
"It doesn't matter, the deed has already been made. So, what is it that disturb you guys?" the voice responded with a hint of boredom in it.
"We would like to acquire knowledge on the whereabouts of the knight we send into your care."
"Oh, Gerald? Hmm, let's just say that you should forget about contacting him ever again."
"Wh…what? Why?" shocked at the voice's response, the figure called Melvin couldn't help but question.
"Hey Galorck…"
"What is it partner?" the questionnaire replied.
"It seems like a subordinate of yours dared ask me a question.
His pinky finger will do, please?" The voice requested although it was an obvious order.
"Melvin, satisfy my partner." Galorck instructed.
The figure named Melvin was hesitant at first but seeing the glares of the other figures, he brought out his left fingers, held onto the little one and snapped it as he lets out a loud groan out of pain.
"Mmmm, that groan was a nice tone, now, for pleasing me, I'll answer your question.
The knight you sent went straight ahead in an operation to eliminate three paraders at once during the acceptance examination, which of course, the commotion he caused while carrying out the operation attracted the academy's council head.
And uhhhhh, yeah, he's now a lifetime prisoner in the academy."
"Bang!!"
A loud noise was made as Galorck hit his fist onto the table and made a crack on it.
"So, even an experienced parader is nothing compared to the academy's staff?" Galorck vented out.
"Come on, even we staff have to pass through a lot of life threatening tests to be qualified to earn the title of being a staff in this academy.
Anyways, I do have a good news for you guys though.
I think it's high time you guys forget about trampling the academy and just save your favoured knight.
On the second week of the next month, an opportunity will be made available to you guys, which is the academy's infamous festival.
This time around, with the schedules, it seems that a slight disruption would be made.
The first years will have to begin the ceremony without the rest of the years as all 'surprisingly' have a field activity all at the same time.
So, half a day's time would be made available to you guys on that very day.
While you all are on the save, why don't you make a permanent dent to the academy for the sake of your fallen knights?
That is all folks, I will now have to take my leave."
As he was done with suggestion, the magic circle disappeared.
After the message, the whole room became silent which was later broken with a single statement from Galorck,
"A save with a dent it is then."
