Father and son

If Avery thought this guy was a devil before, now she is going to claim that he is a sly fox. Sebastian's voice now sounded more aloof and distant.

'How could he bring me to his father's house without telling me?' Avery screamed in her mind. Her hazel eyes throw daggers at Sebastian.

"My name is Avery, father. Nice to meet you, sir," Avery said politely. Her voice calm and soothing.

Looking at Sebastian's father, she could see the resemblance, and the man seemed to be in his forties.

So young and handsome.

"My name is Donovan. So you are the one who stole My son's heart?" Donovan, Sebastian's father said in sarcasm as he flashed a beautiful smile at Avery.

Donovan was a charmer when his charming smile graced his face showing those dimples. Avery wondered if Sebastian has dimples too but the devil hasn't smiled before.

Avery threw Sebastian a hard glare because he hadn't informed her about how to make up the story about how they met.

How could he do that without informing her? But she decided to play along.

"Yes sir. I'm Sebastian's girlfriend," Avery replied. She can swear that Sebastian was throwing icy daggers at her from behind but she doesn't care.

"That's a lovely name, Avery, So where were you all this time?" Sebastian father complimented before enquiring about Avery as he took a seat at the dinning table.

"Thank you, sir," Avery thanked him for complimenting her name but was unsure of the words or excuse to answer for his previous question

She could see the man was still silent, waiting for her to reply to him. Avery parted her luscious pink lips. Her hands rubbing her thighs stealthily like a kitten.

"I met Sebastian not quite long ago," Avery said, trying to play along. She was going to twist the truth. Either way, she won't be lying.

"So what do you think about my son? Is he good to you?" Sebastian's father asked, as he picked up the cutlery and began to eat.

Avery gulped down the saliva in her throat like some honey. She is hungry and her mouth watered at the sight of the sumptuous meal on the dining table.

"He is a good man," Avery blurted out before she could think straight. Her gaze was glued to the food on the table.

"So you mean Sebastian is a good man to you?" Donovan said dropping the spoon as he raised an eyebrow. Watching Avery with intrigue in his eyes.

"Sir," Avery said aloud before tuning down her tone and making her expression neutral.

"Yes, he is good," Avery said making sure not to make eye contact with Sebastian.

Sebastian clicked his tongue in distaste as she watched his father and Avery converse. They were acting as if he wasn't in the room with them, which he found annoying.

Sebastian was going to interrupt them but he knew his father could see through his lies sometimes. He was also curious to know what Avery would say about him.

'She will figure it out,'

"You aren't telling me everything. Do you like my son because he is a good man? Nothing else?" Donovan asked, his dark eyes not leaving Avery's own.

Donovan focuses his attention on the woman before him. Avery rubbed her neck slightly. She doesn't even know what to say but she can't back out now. She had already entered the lion's den. She will need to figure things out or be prepared to get devoured.

Maybe Sebastian was trying to test her to see if she would play along.

"I love everything about Sebastian," Avery said, flashing a smile at Sebastian and his father.

'Phew, it wasn't that hard,' Avery grimaced with confidence.

"I love his behaviors. He is caring and attractive. He loves me so much and I love him too. He is everything I want in a man," Avery said maintaining a natural expression but little did she know that the man across the table was more intelligent than she could imagine.

Denovan chuckles upon hearing this. He tapped Sebastian on his shoulders lightly, smiling at him.

"Then you can go ahead with the wedding. I need a grandson from both of you." Donovan replied, standing up from the chair while Avery's heart skipped a beat like a scared kitten.

She became tongue-tied hearing this. A grandson from the Devil?

"I would like to meet your parents and fix the date. I will be glad if it's around next week. We don't take things slow in my family," Donovan declared as he wiped the corner of his lips with the napkin.

Avery's heart skipped a beat when she heard Sebastian's next words. Both father and son were almost the same.

"I already talked to her parents as the date has been fixed, Father. We will be having the wedding next week,"

'Oh my fucking goodness,' Avery said under her breath gritting her teeth together.

'Is he playing games with me right now?'

'I will need to inform my colleagues too!' Avery thought as she held her head.

"Are you Okay?" Donovan asked Avery, his voice etched with curiosity and care.

"Yes, I'm fine sir" Avery affirmed, smiling at the two men in the room.

"I'm glad you are taking things fast with my son. I'm okay with that but I need something from you," Sebastian's father declared while Avery only nodded her head in agreement.

"I need two baby boys from you, promise me you will do that,"

Avery chuckles lightly. Her face flushed pink. She wasn't sure if she was supposed to be laughing at her misery or something else. She didn't find it funny in one bit.

"Of course sir, I promise you. Sebastian and I will gift you, healthy twins," Avery replied with great enthusiasm.

It's already in the agreement that she will be set free from the marriage once the dispute is settled. She could only hope for the best and fight her way out of the dark web.

"You two should eat. I like you already Avery." Denovan confessed. "I know you will be able to wake him up."

"Thank you, sir. I'm glad to be—" Avery paused when she digested the words Sebastian's father just said.

"Wake him up?" she asked with confusion marring her face. Her eyes are a little bit wide.

Denovan smiles slightly at Avery while ,"I mean he sometimes sleeps late but I know you will help him out. Won't you Avery?" Donovan asked.

"I will sir."

"Son, I need to see you before you go."

"Alright," Sebastian affirmed in agreement.

"Avery, you should eat your food and if you want more, the maids will serve you more," Donovan said before leaving the room.
