I felt my entire body bounce on top of what felt like mattresses tacked on top of one another. Luckily, the fall wasn't too long, so the impact of my landing wasn't as hard as I expected it to be.
I still couldn't believe Whitney White pushed me like that, after I trusted her. A shudder ran through me. If those mattresses were moved slightly to the side, my body would have crashed into the hard, rocky ground, every bone in my body breaking in the process. I could've been dead by now!
Another weight bounced onto the mattress from above, the impact echoing the first bounce. It was Whitney White. I stared at her with wide eyes filled with disbelief.
"What? You're alive, aren't you? No need to give me that look," She said, playfully nudging my elbow
"Do you think I'll ever trust you after this?" I questioned, my voice strained
"Come on! You have to admit that it was fun, right? Maybe just a little?"
I mean, I was kind of fun, but I won't satisfy her by admitting it.
