Trouble In Tavern

The man gulped. "Yes, it's enough," his dry voice could not hide how shock he is, though the thing that shocked him the most is not the amount of coins the other party took out, but the fact he used a storage ring.

Storage ring is the most simple and easiest to procure spatial tool, that can be bought from some of the larger cities, though Alten City did not have a large enough merchant group to procure storage rings outside of personal use.

Most of the storage rings in the Alten City is from the Adventure Guild, with mostly Genesis Condensing experts and above that have them. And even among the Genesis Condensing adventurers, they did not have enough points to procure a storage ring of the smallest size.

So, while the young man in front of his have show that he is without a doubt a valuable costumer, he also paint a target for himself.

"Please wait here, I will come back soon," though he fully expected to return seeing a corpses and the woman being raped.

"So, when will you fools make a move?" Ryker asked. With the strongest person in the tavern is a 1st Stage Genesis Condensing expert, they would think they will be able to kill him in short amount of time.

 What a bunch of fools?

"Hah! You here him boys?! He said we are fools!" one of the thugs took out his dagger as he learned at Ina.

"Well, then, we are going to show your lady friend here a go-" the man did not finish his words when Ryker's fingers pierced his throat, killing him immediately.

"Whose next?" he growled, starting at the group of people condescendingly.

Seeing this, the fear in their face turned to rage as they charged at the lone man. Ryker, not bothered by them, merely took a toothpick he grabbed a did a swinging motion.

In seconds, the charging men stopped, as a thin line formed on their neck before their heads slide of their necks, falling on the ground.

The only one left was the one who stand back, the sole Genesis Condensing expert in the room.

"So, tell me, are you going to do the same thing as these fools?" qi surged from his body, suppressing the man in seconds, even though he unleashed his own qi to counteract the qi pressing on him.

"W-wait! I am going," deciding discretion is the better part of valor, especially when he slaughtered all of the other thugs with sheer ease.

"Oh, but what will I get when I let you go?" his question send shiver down the man's spine, as a hand hold his shoulder. While it was just a simple grip, for the man, it felt like a beast holding his shoulder.

Shaking, he asked, "W-what do I have to do for you to let me go?" managing to calm himself at the end, he asked.

"Hhmm, tell me, what happen here?" realizing his subtle meaning, the man loudly said, "They annoy me so I killed them all!" he said loudly, proclaiming he did the deed even if no one else remain alive.

"And, what will you say to those behind you?" Ryker continued.

"That a bunch of thugs pissed me off so I decide they can just go and die," he answered, knowing any wrong one would lead to his death.

"Good, and one more thing," the hand shift from his shoulder to his neck, gripping it tightly.

"If anyone come and find trouble with the two of us, you will not be getting away the second time," nodding frantically, the hand finally loosen its grip, allowing him to breath as he ran away as quickly as possible.

As the man left the building, the bartender exited, "Well, looks like the fun i-is over?" the last part sounded like a question as he saw apart from the couple, everyone else is dead.

Ryker appear in front of him before lifting the man by his collar, "Give me one good reason why I should not kill you right now," he said, his qi erupting from his body.

The man tried to shook the hold of, but to failed miserably. "Wait, wait!" he yelled, "I'm a part of the Kilan Family! If anything happened to me, there will be price to pay!" he said , hoping the family name would be enough of a deterrent.

To his horror, the grip in his collar tightened as he was forced to face him eye to eye.

"Sure, I might effect us, but will they even know who kill their man?" the question send shivers down the man's spine as he realize his life would be over in an instance.

"However," hope blossomed for the bartender, "I will let you go for the most juicy intel you have," hearing this, the man nodded, seeing a way to escape his predicament.

"Yes, anything," he said, preparing to give anything for just to save his life.

"First, I want information of every family that ruled the Alten Underworld," when he thought it was simple enough, the man shattered his hope.

"And I want everything you have, especially the more important secrets if you have it, and don't lie or it won't end well,"

"Secret of that kind will co-" "How about your life, does that enough for you?" the bartender, nodding like a man possessed.

"Second, I want every information about anything interesting that will happen in the Underworld. Whether something like signs of turf wars, or even a an auction of any kind, anything of interest must be told right now.

And finally, I want to know famous establishment in the Underworld, whether because of their exotic wares, their size, I don't care, as long as they are well known in the Underworld.

Tell me those three things, and I will let you live," the bartender weight his option; telling the man in front of him several information, one that he will not get his rightful commission, or don't tell him and die.

Looking at the terrifying face of the man, he decided to chose the latter, telling the man everything he wanted to know.

Both Ryker and Ina left the tavern satisfied. Meanwhile, the bartender kneel on the floor, his legs weak from the experience. At the moment, he vowed to not mess with anyone without knowing their background.

While the bartender thought the two people that just exit his tavern possess some life-saving item or have a more powerful expert protecting them, he is far from the truth.

"What will we do with the information?" Ina asked, curious of what sort of plan her husband come up with.

A crooked smile formed on his face, "Let just say we will make the Craw Family pay,"
