Meeting With Hal Family's Master

"Uncle want to meet them?" Shuri asked in shock. Its not like she never seen her uncle before. It's that most of the people who visit would be greeted by her father. Her father is the one who did most of the menial stuff in the Family, from meeting other people, to helping her uncle do some delegation.

It is to say her uncle rarely meet the common people for any important stuff, except for maybe in the street when he decide to go for a quick stroll outside. Most of it will meet her father instead.

"Oh, right. They did save you," she finally remember the tidbit of information, and what should be the main reason for her uncle to meet up with them.

Solance gave her a small smile. In fact, she is not wrong, as thanking the saviour of his son is one of the reason they could meet his father. The other ones is due to discussing the plan to destroy the Uru, if Ryker could manage to garner the supports of the other Great Families, and Baron of Mariz.

"Do your ladies mind staying here for a while? I will be taking Ryker with me," he said to them, though his eyes did linger on Mashia, the strongest person in the group.

The women nodded, knowing more but at the same time less than Shuri for what is about to happen. Seeing this, Rykee stood up and walked towards Solance.

As the two men, along with the old servant, left the room, there is a sudden lack of man in it. Seeing this, Era decide to start a conversation between them less the situation escalate from simple silence to full-blown awkwardness.

"So, I see you taking a look at Ryker,"

"Father, I am here with my guest," Solance said in front of the door. Ryker take a look and admit the one who crafted it knew what they are doing. Not only the door is ornately decorated, but also infused with formations of some sort, making it stronger than it normally would be.

"Come in," a booming voice said, as the door opened. Solance entered the room, followed by Ryker.

Ryker immediately find himself impressed. Not by the beauty of the room. While it is spacious, it is not decorated with gaudy decorations and impressive numbers of jewels and precious metal. The room itself is simple and have a slightly bland look to it.

Which is impressive when one to think the owner and the one who used this room is the master and patriarch of one of the Great Families of Mariz Barony.

The man himself looked impressive. With white stubble decorating his face, it is the only way to tell the difference from him and his son, who looked almost similar except for the former having an air around him, one that told the people around him that he had experienced a lot of things.

His stature is slightly bigger than Solance as well, though not by much. Still, if Ryker did not know any better, he would have thought the man to be Solance's or Shuri's older brother.

The man turned towards Ryker, causing the later to feel some pressure, though thankfully light. While the aura rolling out of the man pressed against him, Ryker remained calm. After all, the other party did not actively try to harm him, so it is likely a test of some sort.

Meanwhile, the master of the Hal Family was surprised. He had known the saviour of his son to be impressive from what little time Solance observed him,.but he thought he was exaggerating some of it.

However, their first meeting showed that it was not an exaguration. In fact, he thought his son had underestimate the young man. The older man pulled back his aura before giving the silver-eyed man a kind smile, like he did not just threaten him unspokenly a few seconds ago.

"Hello Mr. Ryker. I apologize for what I did earlier but I wish to see if my son's claim is true," he said, earning a nod from Ryker.

"With that said, I think an introduction is necessary. My name is Solail Hal, the master of the Hal Family,"

"My name is Ryker, as you have known by now," a glance toward the sheepish looking Solance help him conveyed to the young man similar to him in term of age of how he knew the reason his father knew his name.

"Now that is out of the way, I would like to offer my gratitude for saving my son's life," the man said, giving him a bow. Ryker merely nodded, as he spoke,

"You don't need to thank me. While I help him due to him being injured, I do wish to meet with the master of Hal Family regarding a certain group of pests," he said, his tone deep when he spoke of pests.

"I see. As.much as I want to punish them for trying to kill my son, attempting to uproot them would cause dishevel in the capital, which may effect the Barony as a whole. Besides, destroying them would mean we will lose a part of our strength.

After all, Genesis Core experts did not grow on trees," Solail said, telling him of how intricate and difficult his wish is. To be honest, it is something Ryker had suspected. After all, while Hal Family possess three times the experts that the Uru Family possess, a battle to the death would still cause the Hal to suffer some significant losses, weakening them and might even get them push from their lofty status as a Great Family.

However, Ryker did not come here to just be rejected. He has an offer, not just for the Hal Family, but also to the rest of the Great Families, one they would not reject.

Solance and Solail watched as Ryker pulled out a key, before he turned towards them and said something, causing their eyes to widen in shock.

At the tallest point of the mansion, two men keep an eye on the meeting, to make sure nothing goes wrong, yet when the young man opened his mouth after getting rejected by the master of Hal Family, the two men could not help but form the same expression as Solail and Solance.

A light tremble was felt all across the mansion, putting the four woman on high alert. Meanwhile, Shuri remain calm, already used to it.

"Don't worry, there is nothing wrong. Just something surprising grandfather most likely," she assure them. Hearing this, the women calm down before continuing their talk, one of a certain man with dual-colored hair and silver eyes.
