Once an Adventurer, Always an Adventurer

Getting to the capital of Estrela Azul kingdom, Solaraia, on time would'v been a pain in the ass without a mage. Specifically a mage that knew transportation magic well enough to at least get me to the outskirts.

Would've been. Luckily for me, Fernando's husband knew a little something. Though thinking back on it, knocking at their door in the early morning may not have been the best idea but I couldn't have waited until morning. That gave Sofia too much time to suddenly not be okay with me joining the expedition.

"Tio Felipe!" I exclaimed with nervous excitement as the shorter, slimmer and older man glared at me like I'd just beat up his child.

"Diego." Even the way he spoke was bubbling with clear irritation, the man never liking it when his sleep was interrupted.

I laughed nervously and took a step back, remembering the times as a child when I used to cry at the sight of the always tired mage that only smiled around and to Fernando.
