Chapter 004 I Fell in Love at First Sight_1

The little boy was already petrified, tears welling in his eyes. Jiang Ruan got up from the ground, casting an indifferent glance at the bloodied cut on her wrist. She had already restrained her speed significantly.

After all, they were in public. If she were to display her true speed and abilities, they might think they had seen a ghost.

Of course, she herself was indeed not accepted by the conventions of society.

Once the two were safe, the crowd around them became restless, quickly encircling them. The scene quickly became quite chaotic.

She didn't want to linger. If Yuxin had been taken to the police station, her parents must have gone there too.

Just as she got up, a hand suddenly appeared before her eyes.

It was starkly white, slender and long, flawless—a beauty beyond belief.

In this hand was a neatly folded light grey checkered handkerchief.

An indifferent voice as cold as ice penetrated the bustling crowd, entering her ear canals.

"Bandage it first, to stop the bleeding."

It was a rather indifferent voice, devoid of any compassion, yet incredibly melodious—completely unforgettable.

Jiang Ruan, desperate to leave and concerned about the prospect of her parents seeing her injured, grabbed the handkerchief without thinking.

"Thanks."

She didn't bother to check what the man looked like, and after taking the handkerchief, immediately turned to leave, squeezing her way out from the crowd. She swiftly climbed back onto her old bicycle and left without looking back.

The man who remained standing on the spot was dressed in an inconspicuous white shirt and black trousers—the simplest attire, yet it exuded a unique, sexy, and unresolved charm.

He stood against the light, his skin so white it was near translucent. His features were obscured by the dim yellow light, but one could catch a glimpse of his stunning, prominent nose with gold-rimmed spectacles perched atop. Under the streetlights, the glasses gleamed white and his tall stature stood out in the crowd.

His hand had yet to retract, holding on to the lingering warmth of the girl's palm.

The man watched Jiang Ruan's retreating figure, not shifting his gaze for a long while. His eyes were as cool and deep as the autumn sky.

Sometime later, a lone ringing from his cell phone disrupted his thoughts.

The man bowed his head to answer the call.

"Old Fu, haven't you had enough time off yet? When are you coming back? The Director has been asking about you multiple times."

With one hand in his pocket, the man looked at the direction the girl had fled in. His voice was leisurely and cold.

"I may not be returning for a while."

"What? Something big came up?"

The man's eyelashes fluttered lightly as his slender fingers pushed his glasses up, concealing the dark shade within his eyes.

"I think I've fallen in love at first sight."

The other end: "?????"

It took a while for the person on the other end to recover: "Don't mess with me! Hurry back, the condition of Miss Lou Family is getting worse. Mr. Lou has been to the hospital today, asking you to come back as soon as possible to treat Miss Lou."

Fu Chi, having spent years saving lives and treating injuries, had never shown any interest in whoever he was dealing with. It was as if everyone else in the world was just a pile of garbage that polluted his sight. Would this kind of man fall in love at first sight?

Was he kidding?

The world to him was incapable of accommodating anyone else.

Of course, the man on the other side felt he was an exception in Fu Chi's world. After all, they had been working together harmoniously for many years, and he was sure he wasn't part of the 'garbage' category.

Hearing his words,

Fu Chi replied earnestly: "I still have a two-day break."

"Can you afford to delay Miss Lou Family's life?"

"If she can't wait, then let her die."

The man on the other end: "...."

Listen! His words were so vicious, yet his tone remained calm and steady, devoid of any fluctuations.
