The man's name was Jafar, Zarqa had learned. He seemed rather shy and reserved at first glance, and he had trouble meeting people's eyes or even speaking loud enough in their presence. Yet when books and art came into the topic, he became relentless.
He could speak for hours on end and didn't even seem to take a breath in between his sentences. The only word that Zarqa could use to describe him, was passionate.
The man had known nothing but books and art since a young age. While other kids were taught by their parents and bantered with their peers, Jafar was taught everything he knew from books and spent his time practicing his instruments, drawing, or even composing poetry.
