The Black Sand Snake

The ground beneath Masrur shook, and he flung sideways, just as something jutted out. As he hit the wall and looked up, his eye went wide with the recognition of his attacker.

A large mouth stretched all the way open, yellow eyes with slits that glowed dangerously, long razor-sharp fangs, each of them could pierce right through his body and come out the other side, and black-scaled skin that glimmered under the rays of the sun. The ominous hiss made the soldiers at the other end of the large room quiver and back further towards the wall.

It was a Sand Snake.

Not just any Sand Snake. It was a black Sand Snake. One they only heard of from myths and bed stories. It was large, its body as thick as a palm tree's bark, and as it turned around to face Masrur, he took notice of the crooked horns growing out of its head.
