It only took one look at her face to realize that her plan had failed. The look on her face was almost comedic, but I dared not to laugh. She had spent days cooking up this plan of hers, and while I warned her that it probably wouldn't work, she didn't listen and went ahead with it anyways. Now that it had failed as predicted, she was back to square one.

"There's nothing to be ashamed of, it was a very good plan for someone like you. It was bound to fail, but you did your best, and that's all that matters." I commended, but Maeve wasn't exactly grateful for my compliment.

"Don't you dare insult me Icarus! None of this would have happened if you had followed me to that party!" She snapped at me with rage in her voice.
