Lisa

"You were just with Maeve, weren't you? What did you do with her?" I asked Mark the very second he opened the door.

"I don't ask you what you do with the Alpha in your bedroom, so why should I answer this question of yours?" Mark returned with a face devoid of emotions. He had grown cold towards me these past couple of days, and he didn't try to hide his unconcerned feelings towards me.

"I told you she's not to be trusted. She's not a good woman, associating with her would only get you in trouble." I advised before trying to reach out to Mark's hand. As though he'd been pricked by a thorn bush, Mark recoiled in disgust at my touch, and I felt my heart shatter even more.

"Why are you still doing this?" I asked with tears in my eyes. My hands were shaking, and the more I tried to keep my composure, the harder it felt.

"Doing what, Lisa? What exactly am I doing?!" Mark bellowed before taking slow steps towards me.
