The last month moved faster than I could keep up with, and it was mostly because of the fact that I wasn't sitting alone all day doing nothing. After I had fully recovered, Klaus had finally decided to honor my request and hire me to be his personal assistant at his company. I didn't do much, but it was a lot better than sitting alone at the castle all day.
The workers at the company were nice, all except Maeve. Just like me, she didn't particularly perform any important roles in the place, but just came around from time to time. Putting up with her was a lot easier at the company, and while most of the workers recognized that I was Klaus's bride, I urged them to treat me like a regular coworker. No matter how much I tried I couldn't get used to being treated like royalty, and I genuinely didn't like it one bit.
