Something strange is happening.

“I heard that our senior brother's crown princess consort is here at the mansion. But why don't I see her?”. Quin Quin questioned her second older brother, who was beside her.

Quin Quin was the last daughter of the Emperor. She was given birth to– by one of the Emperor's consorts.

The Crown prince and Li Nan were born by the same mother. Their mother was the current Empress Dowager.

"Huh…. Is that why you dragged me with you, to visit our big brother's mansion?! You know how scary he is– and yet, you still decided to come here because of his princess consort??”. Li Nan asked in disbelief.

"Mm…. Yeah, you're right. I heard that our big brother’s princess consort has beautiful shiny black hair. I heard that she also has the face of a goddess. And of course, I want to see it for myself". Quin Quin said excitedly, as she was anticipating the moment already.

Although Li Nan usually interacted with his elder brother, the Crown prince, he was still nervous and scared whenever they were alone.

Quin Quin was only a little scared of the Crown prince. But that wouldn't stop her from seeing his princess consort.

Quin Quin was 17 years old and was now ready for marriage. She was angry and furious when the Emperor, her father, chose a husband for her. She was to marry by next week. And she was totally against her marriage, but she had no choice. Since the crown prince didn't refuse the Emperor's marriage decree, then who was she to deny hers?? That doesn't make sense to her.

Li Nan was 19 years old.

"Where do we find the princess consort now?". Li Nan asked, since he was already in a hurry to leave.

"It's simple, you dummy…. She should be at the Crown Prince's manor by now". Quin Quin simply said as she headed straight to the crown prince’s manor.

The Crown Prince's Mansion was so big, so it took many minutes for Quin Quin and Li Nan to arrive at his private manor.

On the opposite side of the mansion, in the renovated manor which now belonged to Xi Xhen,

Xi Xhen was furious, her eyebrows furrowed, and she was wandering about in one direction, while complaining.

"Wait! Are they planning on killing me!? First he gave me an abandoned Manor to live in, and now, the servants won't even serve me food?? Does he want me to starve to death!!?". Xi Xhen yelled out in frustration. "I hate you, monster!!!. No…. I think a monster is even better than you!". Xi Xhen shouted at the top of her lungs. She didn't even mind settling down for a moment.

"Em…. Young Mistress, why don't you wait here, let me go get the food for you instead?". Zhen Zhen suggested, as she aimed to calm down Xi Xhen.

"Hmph!!!…. How pathetic of the crown prince! They all brought me here to starve. Well, I, Xi Xhen, will never starve…. Nice plan". Xi Xhen announced. Her face was already red because of how she spent many minutes yelling. Her mind was mainly focused on eating food, since she was starving.

While Xi Xhen was still furious, something strange was already happening outside her manor. The foods that were inside the large storage– suddenly disappeared.

[Swoosh!!!] The food suddenly appeared right outside Xi Xhen's manor.

Xi Xhen was still busy quarrelling when, suddenly, she halted. Her nose sniffed the air and perceived a nice aroma which was breathtaking.

Xi Xhen totally stopped yelling and went outside her manor, only for her to see the nice set of meals which were in front of her door.

Xi Xhen was dumbfounded. ‘How did this happen? Did the servants bring the food? But I didn't hear any footsteps’. Xi Xhen thought. "Well, I don't want to think about it right now. At least not now". Xi Xhen added before she bent down and carried the food.

Zhen Zhen collected the food from Xi Xhen, and carried it inside the manor by herself.

‘I know that this sounds crazy, but something strange is happening in this manor’. Xi Xhen couldn't help but wonder.

On the other side of the Mansion,

Li Nan and Quin Quin had already arrived in the crown prince's own manor.

"Huh…. How strange. Why don't I see Li Yun and his princess consort?". Quin Quin asked in confusion. She came all the way here to see the newly wedded couple, but she was told that no one was inside.

‘Wait, did the servants lie to me, then?’. Quin Quin thought as she forced her way inside Li Yun’s manor.

Li Nan tried to stop Quin Quin, but she was being stubborn!. ‘What if our big brother was really inside the manor, and didn't want any disturbance?!’. Li Nan thought in panic. He ran after Quin Quin to stop her, but she was faster than him because she was so eager to see the crown princess consort.

Upon arriving inside Li Yun's room, Quin Quin saw that, indeed, no one was inside. ‘But why are they not here? Isn't this supposed to be their wedding night?’. Quin Quin wondered and was greatly disappointed.

"Phew''. Li Nan sighed in great relief, after he saw that no one was inside the manor.

"Now, let's go, Quin Quin". Li Nan urged her, as he grabbed her hand and left with her.

"It's already late, we should head back to the palace". Li Nan said to Quin Quin, and she had no choice but to agree.

Quin Quin was really disappointed. She knew why she persistently came here. It was because from tomorrow, she would be grounded because of her coming marriage. She had used the Crown Prince's marriage ceremony as an excuse for her to escape from the palace– for today. Well, she ended up being disappointed since she didn't see the crown princess consort.

‘Well, I may still have another chance to meet the new crown princess consort’. Quin Quin thought within herself as she followed Li Nan.

Upon arriving outside, Quin Quin entered her carriage and left the Crown Prince's mansion.

As for Li Nan, he just rode his horse and followed after Quin Quin’s carriage. Quin Quin’s carriage was surrounded by the imperial servants and guards, who were protecting her.

It was the next morning. The morning sunset shone so brightly through the manor– that it caused Xi Xhen to wake up.

Xi Xhen yawned, while supporting her mouth with her palm.

"Morning freedom". Xi Xhen excitedly said as she got up from her silk bed.

"Good thing that I am free. And I don't even have to see the face of that monster…. Hehehe". Xi Xhen added and laughed out loud. She still couldn't believe that this had really happened to her.

The door to Xi Xhen's room suddenly swung open, causing Xi Xhen to look at the door. It was Zhen Zhen who came in.

"Morning, Young Mis.... WHOA!!!". Zhen Zhen's sudden exclamation made Xi Xhen confused and stunned.

"What was the meaning of that, Zhen Zhen?". Xi Xhen questioned Zhen Zhen, who was looking dumbfounded.

"Your Yo- Your hair, Young Mistress". Zhen Zhen stuttered as she pointed her index finger at Xi Xhen's hair and said loudly.

"Tsk…. What happened to my ha…?”. Xi Xhen couldn't finish her words because– she saw that her hair was no longer shiny black! But instead, it was now– shiny golden-white. "WHAT?!!! HOW ON EARTH DID THIS HAPPEN?!!! MY HAIR!". Xi Xhen yelled out in confusion– before she quickly got up from her bed and went ahead to stand in front of the large wall mirror.

Xi Xhen stared at her reflection in the mirror– with great confusion. She does look like a deity goddess with her new golden-white hair.

Xi Xhen pinched herself to confirm if she was still dreaming or not. But she was totally not dreaming because she felt pain after she pinched herself.

Zhen Zhen was also surprised. ‘How did this suddenly happen to my young Mistress?’. Zhen Zhen thought, and was looking at Xi Xhen's hair in disbelief.
