Spirit protector/ Reincarnation of the Goddess.

Xi Xhen and Zhen Zhen were both still in shock by this strange event.

On second thought, Zhen Zhen looked at her young Mistress in awe. To Zhen, Xi Xhen was a beauty a while ago, but now, she looks even more beautiful than a goddess.

"Zhen Zhen….". Xi Xhen called, but got no response from Zhen Zhen. "Zhen!!". Xi Xhen called again with a loud voice, and immediately, Zhen Zhen snapped out of her daydreaming.

"Oh…. I apologise, Young Mistress. I was just as surprised as you are now". Zhen Zhen admitted.

"Hmm…. This isn't that weird". Xi Xhen nodded while using her fingers to touch her new colored hair. "But, it doesn't look that bad having golden-white hair…. It kinda looks cooler than my black hair". Xi Xhen said, as she was trying to stay positive in a situation like this.

‘I must not panic. I'll figure out how all of these happened to me’. Xi Xhen thought to herself. ‘But strangely enough, all these weird things started happening to me yesterday, when I entered this Manor’. Xi Xhen thought again, thus flooding her mind with different thoughts and possibilities.

"What if a strange power had entered me?". Xi Xhen's sudden question caused Zhen Zhen to become confused– because she didn't understand what Xi Xhen's question meant, at all.

"Huh…. What are you saying, Young Mistress?". Zhen Zhen curiously asked, in order to clear her doubts.

"I heard that this Manor was abandoned because they always see ghosts in it". Xi Xhen explained, causing Zhen Zhen to be so afraid.

"I…. I think that's a made-up story". Zhen Zhen quickly said, as she was trying to think positively.

"Right. I didn't see any ghosts, so let's just call it a made-up story". Xi Xhen agreed with what Zhen Zhen had said.

"Yeah, you're absolutely right, Young Mistress. It's definitely a made-up story". Zhen Zhen agreed, before she nervously giggled.

"Hmm.... But as my hair colour suddenly changed, doesn't that mean I might have powers now?".

"Powers?". Zhen Zhen's eyes widened in disbelief as she asked.

To cut the story short, Xi Xhen had always dreamed about having supernatural powers– just like all those shamans. It looked cool to her. After all, she has heard that the Crown Prince also has power and a cold, intimidating Aura. So, wouldn't it be fair if she had her own powers?

Xi Xhen snapped out her fingers, as she was trying to make something happen.

Zhen Zhen just looked at Xi Xhen in confusion.

After seconds of trying, nothing magical came out, nor did she do anything supernatural…. Xi Xhen just gave up, before she exhaled deeply in disappointment.

"Young Mistress, it's OK. Even though you don't have any powers, you're still a very strong warrior to me". Zhen Zhen said, while showing off her thumbs to Xi Xhen, as she wanted to cheer Xi Xhen up. And that did work.

"Yeah. What was I even thinking? Power or no power, I am still an incredible fighter". Xi Xhen said as she then snapped her fingers for the last time!.

Immediately Xi Xhen snapped her fingers, an enormous amount of light glowed so brightly, before it suddenly vanished.

After this happened, Xi Xhen and Zhen Zhen both looked at themselves silently– before another strange thing happened. A shiny light emerged from Xi Xhen's body.

Xi Xhen and Zhen Zhen both stared at the circled light as it began to take form.

Within seconds, Xi Xhen could finally see a floating little young lady– she was tiny, but a little bigger than a fairy.

"Young Mistress, I am Lilie, your spirit guardian and your protector". Lilie said with a broad smile.

Xi Xhen simply stared at Lilie– the little fairy-like creature who had no wings, but could fly.

"M.. My spirit protector?". Xi Xhen repeated while looking at Lilie. She asked this question because she wanted to be sure that she heard right.

Zhen Zhen heard what Xi Xhen had said, so she curiously asked, "Young Mistress, who are you talking to?".

"My little spirit guardian". Xi Xhen replied to her, and was pointing her index finger at Lilie.

Zhen Zhen was dumbfounded after seeing the way Xi Xhen was pointing at an empty space. She didn't see anyone there.

"B.... but I don't see anyone else here, besides us". Zhen Zhen was being honest as she said.

"Huh. You can't see this floating young lady?!". Xi Xhen couldn't believe this and asked with wide eyes. "You really can't see her?". She added.

After hearing Xi Xhen's question, Zhen Zhen nodded her head.

"Oh…. About that, only you can see me now". Lilie's words made Xi Xhen focus on her.

"Huh, but why and how?".

"I don't know. But ever since my Master was gone, no one has been able to see me". Lilie admitted. Her eyes were sad.

"Your Master?". Xi Xhen muttered.

"Yes…. My master was an ancient goddess who existed over a thousand years ago– before her unjust death. She was killed by men because they sought her powers. Within her last moment, she passed down all her powers to me for safekeeping. After that, she teleported me out of there with her last strength. But before she was gone, she told me that she would reincarnate again and meet me, and only then would her powers return to her. I was her protector, and yet I couldn't protect her". Lilie said as she then bowed her head. She felt guilty.

"I am sorry for your loss". After listening to Lilie’s story, Xi Xhen consoled her.

"No need for that, Young Mistress… You're back! You're finally back! After waiting for over a thousand years, you're finally back!”. Lilie exclaimed, and instantly, her eyes sparkled, as she was beaming with great joy.

Xi Xhen looked at Lilie with a dumbfounded face. "What do you mean I am finally back?". She asked.

"You're the reincarnation of my master– the goddess". Lilie said excitedly. She never expected that her Master would be reincarnated this soon.

While Lilie was busy being happy, it was hard for Xi Xhen to understand what was going on.

"B…. But how?". Xi Xhen asked.

“I was in the lake resting when I felt a familiar present…. The magic inside me– brought you to me. And I felt the magic merging me with you later on. That's when I knew that it was you, my master”. Lilie explained.

"Hmm…. I did feel a strange calling when I was in the lake". Xi Xhen spoke the truth and didn't hide anything.

"Yes. The magic is now back to its original master– which is you. As for me, I just kept the magic safe for over a thousand years– when awaiting your return". Lilie explained again.

"But, how did you end up being here?". Confused and curious, Xi Xhen asked Lilie.

"I know you don't remember, but you were the one who teleported me here, a thousand years ago. Ever since that moment, I decided to wait for your return right here". “Though I did have a lot of fun while waiting. I usually scare the servants who enter here. After all, I was here before them". Lilie added, while supporting what she had said– with a mischievous smile.

"Hahahaha.... No wonder the head maid ran away quickly after bringing me here. It turns out you are the ghost who had haunted this manor all along”. Xi Xhen announced and laughed out, as it was pretty funny to her.

"Yeah…. But you still need to master your powers, Young Master. Your powers have been away from you for millennia– and recently got back to you. So you need to train and regain control of it. But don't you worry Master, I will surely assist you". Lilie assured Xi Xhen.

"Sure. That would be awesome!". Xi Xhen exclaimed, because she was already getting the hang of these new powers and her real identity.

Zhen Zhen simply stood still and was looking at Xi Xhen like a statue. She didn't say anything yet and only continued to watch Xi Xhen.

"If you learn and regain how to control all your powers, you will be able to make anyone you want– to see me". Lilie announced.

"Right…. I will learn how to, so that I can make Zhen Zhen see you". Xi Xhen said with a determined face. Soon, she stared at Zhen Zhen. "Oh, let me introduce you. This is Zhen Zhen…. My childhood friend and servant. But I don't treat her completely like a servant. Instead, I treat her like a little sister". Xi Xhen said to Lilie.

"Oh then, nice to meet her". Lilie replied.

"Zhen Zhen, I know you can't see what I'm seeing. But this is my little guardian, Lilie''. Xi Xhen said while her index finger was pointing at Lilie.

"I know I can't see you, but nice meeting you, Lilie". Zhen Zhen greeted her.

"Don't worry, Zhen Zhen. I will definitely learn to control my powers, so that you'll be able to see Lilie". Xi Xhen assured Zhen, who later nodded her head obediently.

"Sure, Young Mistress''. Zhen Zhen said. Although she didn't see Lilie, she still heard every word Xi Xhen had discussed.

"Young Mistress, let me get you something to eat". Zhen Zhen said, and was already preparing to go outside.

"No need for that". Lilie simply said before she snapped her fingers. Suddenly, the cooked seasoned food– which was on the other side of the mansion's kitchen, surprisingly appeared on Xi Xhen's table.

"Whoa!!!" Both Xi Xhen and Zhen Zhen exclaimed, after seeing the food which suddenly appeared on the table.
