A short break

Five days since Akira guarded the IT company,

Akira sat on the rooftop of the IT Company, taking in the night view of the city, listening to the cacophony of vehicle horns and flashing lights. Though it wasn't quite a melodious sound, for Akira, who had witnessed Japan on the brink of collapse before, it felt like a melody.

*Ring ring*

"Hello, did you eat, Ruka?" He asked as soon as he answered the call. His voice was pleasant, and his training to keep himself composed was going well.

"Yes, what about you?" Haruka asked. "Are they still working this late? You picked up the phone quickly."

"Yes, they are passionate. Maybe a little too much. Ruka, is there something you want to tell me?"

"There you go again. You keep asking me that ever since you saved the couple. Actually, there is something I want to tell you."

Akira became anxiously hopeful to hear her words.

"Did you eat dinner?" She asked in a demanding tone.
