Awakened

Taymen was frustrated at himself for being powerless, but more than that, he was passed at the uncomcious body of Dexter for putting him in such a humiliating situation with the organisation director. He strode to the slab quickly and confidently assuming his feeble pride once more.

He stood over the body staring down at Dexter's face and smiled eeriely

'You know, it's not my fault that chief ended up soft on us, why do they have to take it out on me' he grumbled in his mind

'In fact, it's the vamp boy's fault, I mean, he shouldn't even be in here in this first place so it won't be bad if I get ridy of him now' Taymen's smile turned evil as he nodded in approval of his thought and went to one of the tables with syringes. He filled it with a blue liquid being stored in an air tight cold container and walkes back to Dexter's side

'Yes, I'm doing the organisation a favour, they may not realise now, but they surely thank me for it later' he continued to thjnk feeling proud and self-righteous.

He took out a small scalel from his lab coat pocket and flicked it under the light to examine uts cleanliness. Despite uts small size, it was still highly efficient as it cut through the skin covering Dexter's left chest, went through the flesh and dug a crack in his ribs so that Taymen could finally see the organ he was aiming cor clearly.

The red pulsating organ with its faint sounds made Taymen feel euphoric as the feeling of having a person's life in his hands have him that sense of suthority that he most definitely lacked.

Finally, Taymen chuckled a bit as he inserted the syringe through the path he had made and injected the liqyid directly into Dexter's heart.

'No need for the anti-blood to circulate, since it's already jn the heart it'll just push him to go beyond rogue and he'll die of deprivation' he thought darjly as he watched the organ turn blue before being surrounded by a bluish crystalline substance. He stitched put the flesh back in place and stitched up the skin above. Dexter's body became ice cold and he was as white as a sheet.

"My work here is done" Taymen muttered bringing a cloth and using it to cover Dexter's body then tied a cord tightly around his neck to block his air way, you can never be too cautious right?

Once he was satisfied with his work, he left the ward preparing tk deliver the 'horrible news' to Walrus and the rest of the organization.

About thirty minutes kater, the entire organisation found themselves in the test room once more, but 3veryone understood that they were not summoned for the usual activities, everyone had already witnessed what happened to the boss' son, who would think about hunting right after that?

Not many people understood what had actually happened though, afterall, other than Walrus, Taymen and the three members of the upper echelon, not a single soul was aware of Dexter's supernatural status.

Walrus tapped his feet on the ground impatiently as his mind whirred with one thought spinning right after another calmed down. Everything ghat Frankina had said earlier greatly disturbed him and put him on edge, he just hoped for the best even with his conflicting thoughts. If Dexter turned into a vampire, it would be his job to kill him, but it he died, Walrus knew he wouldn't be able to live with himself and would be unreasonably vindictive. His eyes spotted the gray haired scientist as he walked unto the podium and he immediately questioned him.

"Taymen, for what reason have you summoned the entire organisation? You should be taking care of Dexter" he really felt that one day he would tear this annoying prick of a man with his saber sword.

Taymen sbifted back away from Walrus and scrambked to the other end of the podium seemingly perceiving the murderous intent of the chief. Grabbing a microphone, he cleared his throat drawing everyone's full attention to him. The hall went silent as everyone wanted to hear what he had to say.

"We have all known Dexter Vinage from the time he was still an emotionless toddler, we watched him grow and we all loved him despute his unacceptable love for the supernaturals" Taymen started causing Walrus to draw his brows together, knly ine thought crossing his mind

'Loved?'

"Today, as sad as it may be, our beloved youngest brother has oassed on the a greater realm" Taymen finished. A lot of people sycked in their breaths, Walrhs' jaw ticked

"What the fuck are you talking about Taymen?" He growled in a low voice. If Taymen were within grasping distance he would have been starngled by then. Taymen swallowed a bit intending to repeat himself but before that someone among the crowd screamed earning a lot of didorderliness from the rest of the crowd.

"VAMPIRE!!!"

Leila walked through the halls of the house that she had grown accustomed to these past five years. She had come in hopes that the one man she loved and whom she thought loved her back, would become her family. Sadly, not all that glitters is gold and she had painfully experienced that saying herself.

She took a few steps and slowed down her pace when she realised she was approaching Lyn's office, preparing herself to walk past as silently as possible, she heard a discussion from inside that had her pausing in her steps. Unfortunately, control of emotioms was someghing she had not fully mastered especially when it came down to matters involving him.

Lyn looked up from the document he was gkancing through and stated straight at Leila who was panting heavily at the door entracnce with her arms still outstretched from pushing the door open forcefully. Lyn said good bye to the person on the other end of the call and turned off his phone. He folded his hands resting back in his swivel chair.

"Well Leila darling, it seems you've got some energy to expend" he commented flatly. Leila blushed from embarrassment but the heart break she knew awaited her held more weught than being shamed momentarily.

"Y-you were on the phone just now" she managed to say causing Lyn to raise a brow

"So what? Were you eavesdropping?" He asked, Leila looked down quietly unable to justify herself or deny

"What is it? If you have nothing to say then leave" Lyn said in his normal flat tone and went back to reading and signing documents. Leila remained staring at the ground not donng anything, slowly tears rose to hed eyes and she didn't hesitate to let them down

"You're done with me aren't you?" She whispered, Lyn didn't answer but Leila was sure he heard.

"You don't need me anymore right? Since you don't need me anymore, you're replacing me!" She couldn't help but raise her voice at him. Lyn dropped the pen in his hand and stood up from his seat, he walked slowly up to Leila

"Yes Leila darling, I really don't need you anymore since you aren't willing to help papa. If that's clear why are you making trouble for papa? Besides, what do you mean by replacing you? How is me getting married a second time replacing you?" He questioned one by one in a slow threatening voice as he neared Leila who stepped back instinctively until he was pinning her against a wall. Leila bit her lower lip while Lyn tilted his head

"Leila darling, is it that you are having wrong thoughts towards papa?" Lyn laughed as if his own comment was an incredulous joke

"I understand that you see papa as capable and young but papa is just papa to you, do not misunderstand okay?" He muttered the last part silently into her ear and Leila felt her body shiver, she was clouded in anger now though, unreasonable anger, because no matter what, the man was right, despite how despicable he was to use her own feelings against her, it was still written in the paper work that he was her guardian.

"Do not call yourself that" she mumbled so quietly Lyn had a hard time hearing, it was as if she merely moved her lips

"What?" Lyn asked staring down at her face. Leila got a surge of emotions and she pushed Lyn away angrily with tears running more speedily down her cheeks

"You are not my papa!!!" She yelled startling Lyn a bit. Right from Leila pushing him to her yelling at him, he didn't expect any of that. He was suddenly angry, she was the girl who had foolishly been in love with him for the past five years and done all that he told her to up until she could no longer help him so he had never experienced any troublesome behavior from her, why would he take nonsense from her all of a sudden?

He strode back to her and grabbed her wrist tightly in one quick movement pulling her to himself despite her struggle

"Oh, then what am I then? I could never be intimate with you, have you seen yourself in a mirror? the only appeal you give is that of a child's why wpuld I have any form of attachment fo you? If you want me to keep you, then be useful, otherwise I don't give a f*ck what goes on in and about your entire meaningless life" Lyn growled angrily not failing to scare Leila

"Let me go!" She cried not willing to respond to the man's hateful words. Lyn let go of her pushing her away and Leila held onto the wall to stop herself from crashing into it

"Get out of my office" he spoke coldly as he adjusted the cuffs of his suit going back to his desk. Leila did not waste a single moment before running out of the room to hers. Once she got to her room, she locked the door and slumped onto the ground as she broke out in sobs, she was well aware that she was the fool, she was well aware that she was too in love with her so-called father to watch him get married, she was aware that the conflict about to break out in the home wkuld break her, ahe knew she had to leave, but before that shr wanted to take care of something.

She wiped her face then dialed a number on her phone with a determined expression.

The phone on the other end rung twice before getting picked up.

"Hello?" Came a sinister voice that neither sounded male nor female

"I want to buy it" Leila said as quickly as possible immediately the person spoke up. She didn't want to chicken out of her decision so soon

"By it, you mean..." the voice dragged

"Yes, what you offered me. I plan on leaving and I at least need a farewell gift don't I?" Leila didn't flinch from the loud laughter that burst through the phone's speaker as she already expected it

"Yes yes, of course princess. I'll actually give it to you for free if that's the case. Consider it my contribution" the dark voice answered after a while

Leila said nothing and simply cut the call before resting her head back against the door.

The hall was in chaos as people screamed and tried to get out of the closed room. As professional supe-hubters, they could fight, but their high level of training allowed them to size up their opponents to determine their success rate. Currently their deducted success rate was in the negative they were even starting to doubt their own methods.

Walrus glared at Taymen sho seemed to want to slip away.

"Taymen, why don't you finish what you were saying" he growled making Taymen freeze in his step. He turned around tk face Walrus mechanically and tilted his head

"I already said it, Dexter, as painful as it may seem, has died" he said in a cold tone attempting to make the message clear to Walrus, meanwhile, the supe-hunters were being cut down one by one at an extraordinary pace. A lot got killed without realisingwhat was happening, some quick ones managed to get their weapons out before their necks were broken and blood sucked out with their essence. No one made it out the door.

Walrus' eyes flashed with ruthlessness as he transported himself to Taymen's front in quick motion and grabbed his (Taymen's) neck in one big hand

"Are you saying that you f*cking killed him?!" He exclaimed and Taymen panicked breaking out in cold sweat. He waved his arm around alarmingly

"No no, of course not sir, he just passed on. I couldn't do anything about it" he quickly stated. The three members of the upper echelon, Charo (cha-ro), Kerry and Maured (mo-ord) grabbed Walrus and pulled him back amusing him to semi-fling Taymen onto the ground.

"Walrus! Will you f*cking get a grip! We've been invaded!!" Kerry, the only female yelled at him. A loud clang sound suddenly sounded along with a louder grunt from Charo

"What the f*ck was that?!" Kerry exclaimed turning to Charo who was wiping blood off of his injured left eye

"The supe slit my f*cking eye!" He growled

"Well, did you see it?" Kerry asked causing Charo to look at her in an 'are-you-f*cking-with-me-right-now' manner

"No, I said my eye got slit, you f*cking-"

"You guys, shut up" Walrus muttered and they kept quiet. He pulled his arms out of their grip

"Did you hear what Taymen just said?" He asked and the three younger ones in front of him looked at Taymen

"He said something about Dext travelling or something, right?" Charo asked more than stated. Walrus gestured towards Taymen with his head telling him to explain himself.

"Dexter is dead"

Maured's weapon dropped out of his hand

"Baby Dex....he's dead?" He muttered silently, Charo and Kerry were stunned.

A low chuckle echoed in the room, that was when they all noticed that the entire room was filled with dead dried up bodies and the stench of death. They couldn't say anything, they couldn't do anything

"I guess you could say that if your definition of murder is spontaneous death"

They all turned their gaze towards the voice and were met with the sight of a tall, extremely pale guy with lean muscles and a broad back, white waist length hair, brows and lashes, blood red irises and sharp ahiny fangs that didn't fail to reveal their presence through his blood red lips.

Of course, no matter the change in appearance, they all recognised him.

"I guess they're both similar except not the same" he continued talking and tilted his head resting it on his knee as he stared at then more intently

"In the end, you must be stupid to think they're the same" he concluded, a smirk playing at his lips. Maured's face went white

"Dex...?" He called out uncertainly and he stepped back

'Oh no, my little bro has finally awakened as a vampire'
