"But would she really go that far? After all, we're her own granddaughters." Torsha wondered.
"Tori, you shouldn't forget who you're talking about. Didun never mixed personal and business matters. So if we're involved in the latter she will deal with us the same way she handles such matters. Granddaughters or not, wouldn't deter her." Diya replied.
As the eldest of all her cousins, she was the most mature. She always had a calm and dignified aura and was much more cool-tempered than Komolika and Arundhati. Her diplomatic skills were her strongest traits.
Torsha was the most easygoing of them all. She was simple-minded and friendly. But her friendly nature was what made her the most social person. She could easily blend in unfamiliar places with that personality.
"Anyways guys, how about we chill for today? We are all together after so many years. Let's go to a club, have some drinks and dance our hearts out. We ought to celebrate our reunion. And I'd also like to check out some hot guys in the meantime." Nitish winked at them.
"Damn, you party monkey! You just need any possible reason to go clubbing." Komolika sneered.
"Admit it. You just want to go hot-guy-searching. We're just excuses to you to convince your mothers to let you go." Arohi rolled her eyes.
"Well everyone's not lucky like you to have a girlfriend since high school!" Nitish stuck out his tongue.
"Anyways I tell you, it'll be fun. You can just sit and drink if you don't want to look for potential partners. Or just dance. I heard they play awesome songs."
"I don't drink and I'm tired. You guys go ahead." Arundhati stood up from the sofa.
"Come on Aru Di, don't be a party pooper. I promise you'll enjoy it." Nitish clung to her arm.
"How am I being a party pooper?" Arundhati raised an eyebrow.
"I'm not preventing any of you from going. And you know how much I hate socialising."
"Please, Aru Di? We haven't gone out together in so long. Although I'm not much of a fan of clubs either, it'll be our get-together after so long." Torsha looked at her with puppy dog eyes.
"I already said no. You all can go ahead. I just want to go back to bed. Bye." Arundhati coldly rejected.
Torsha pouted and nudged Komolika.
"Hey, what are you being so stubborn for? All of them are requesting you so much. Can't you give in a little?" Komolika clicked her tongue in annoyance.
"I already said that I don't have any energy to go anywhere right now. Moreover, clubs aren't my thing either. Why are you all so hung up on bringing me? Just go by yourselves, geez."
"Hmph. Snobby brat." Komolika muttered.
"Yes?" Arundhati turned to her with a provoking look.
Diya shook her head helplessly. Her first cousin was always a little rough and was bad at expressing her feelings properly. She knew that she also wanted Arundhati to come but her words had more chances of having the opposite effect rather than convincing her.
"Okay, okay. No need to fight, goodness!" Diya put her hands between them."
"Aru, don't mind Moli's words. You know how she is. She also wants you to be there.."
"I don't." Komolika interrupted with a glare.
"Alright, alright, you don't. You heard her. She doesn't want you there. However, the rest of us do so please come okay? And I understand that you're tired. How about we reschedule our plan to the day after tomorrow?" Diya turned to the others.
Everyone agreed.
"So, it's settled. You can take a rest today and get yourself comfortable tomorrow, then we go out together. How about an outing for the day? We'll go out to some fun places which are not too crowded and then in the evening we accompany Nitish to a club for some time and then you can go to a library for some alone time. Will you go then?" Diya looked up at her.
Arundhati looked down at her eldest cousin's face. She was looking at her with a pleading and hopeful gaze. When she moved her eyes over to the others she saw them staring at her with anticipation. When her gaze landed on Komolika she saw her facing her back towards her. But upon closer look, she could see her second cousin secretly peeking at her out of the corner of her eye.
Letting out a deep breath she said "Okay, I'll go."
"Yay!" Nitish, Arohi and Torsha high-fived among themselves.
Diya smiled at her. Komolika's lips also curved a little bit when she saw Arundhati looking at her she immediately looked away pretending to be indifferent.
On the day of the outing.
Arundhati donned herself in jeans and a shirt with her hair bunched up with a clutcher, Diya wore a jumpsuit and let her long hair loose, and Komolika chose ripped jeans and a sleeveless top as her outfit, showing off her tattooed arms. Arohi went for a more traditional look with her braided hair and yellow churidar. Torsha wore shorts and off shoulder top with her hair tied in pigtails while Nitish wore a white frock and knee-high boots.
First, they went to an amusement park. Mistress Sen had already booked VIP tickets for them. So at that moment the park only had a few VIP pass users other than them. Arundhati let out a breath seeing the almost empty park.
They stayed in there for a long time going on different rides. Komolika screamed her lungs out on the roller coaster and Arundhati almost threw her off it because they were sitting side by side and her eardrum almost got punctured because of Komolika. Nitish almost puked on himself and Arohi in the giant tea cup ride and Torsha got stuck inside the pipe in the water ride. After a lot of scary and fun moments, they ended their trip in the amusement park with the Ferris wheel.
Next, they went to a restaurant to have lunch.
They were waiting for their food when a man from another table commented fairly loudly for everyone present on their floor to hear clearly.
"Ew, is that a man wearing a skirt? Yuck. Disgusting. I don't know from where these uncultured people come from."
Although there were not that many people in the room, some of those present started whispering.
"Wait, really? I didn't even realise that it was a man all along."
"Right, I thought it was a pretty lady. I was even thinking of asking for her number."
"Ew, how's he even out in public? Isn't he ashamed?"
"I thought she was my type but unfortunately there's a stick beneath that skirt instead of a burrow."
Nitish, who was busy talking about something with his usual hyperactive energy suddenly paused.
