Chapter 6: Homebound

Mick noticed that James wasn't eating, and was about to say something but then saw a smile from him. He guessed he must've worked out whatever problem he had. They all laughed and ate and cheered for Rudy as the clock upon the roof struck twelve and wrung for all the North Pole. As things settled down, Rudy got tired and was taken to bed by Mrs. Klaus, and then Santa asked if James and Mick were ready to go.

Just as the Easter Bunny was getting ready to go too, Ruby asked, "Can I ride back with Santa."

The Easter Bunny looked up with a grimacing face at Santa, then smiled, sure, don't have her home too late."

"Of course."

They all got in the sleigh and rode back. Mick, Ruby, and James were talking the whole way.

"I can't believe you just carry fireworks with you all the time," Ruby said. "That's mental."

"Come on, fireworks are awesome and a great tool for celebration. You never know when you'll have something super awesome you want to celebrate." James defended.

"I also can't believe they finally came in handy, you've had them for like 5 years. Where did you even get them?"

James looked knowingly at Santa, and Santa avoided everyone's gaze.

"No way," Mick and Ruby said at the same time.

They arrived back at James and Mick's dorms, and they said bye to everyone.

"Bye Santa. Goodbye Ruby, it was nice meeting you, until next time."

"It was great meeting both of you," Mick said.

Mick and James got out of the sleigh and off onto their roof, which they were not allowed on so they should probably hurry off. Like fast, they are really secretive about our 17th floor, we will likely be taken by the FBI if we don't hurry off.

James and Mick snuck past the security which honestly wasn't as frightening today after they versed an entire friggin snowman army, but whatever. Not like they were mentally scarred or anything, heh heh. They got down to their third floor, and walked down the hall.

"Wanna get food?" Mick asked, "I've only had cake for like the past 12 hours."

"I don't think I've eaten today actually other than cake." (This is one of the most obvious parts based on me the author, multiple of my friends know this, and frequently get worried. Don't worry, this is fiction and highly exaggerated, I've only gone most a day without eating anything other than popcorn or nutrigrain fruit bar like maybe 5, 7 days top. Don't WORRY, If I can survive the snowmenpacolypse, I can survive this. Mick knows!) "I can grab a quick bite. But then I have to go."

"How come?" Mick asked inquisitively.

"I've got a promise to keep." James said back with a smile.
