Chapter 8

After being hit by a stray bullet in the verbal crossfire between her boyfriend and Matthew, Arya finds herself furious yet sober.

Her face looks stuffy and red, and haven't felt such irritation in years since one of their house cleaners spilled a bleach on her pink favorite designer dress.

Arya Maywell is that type that likes everything about her to be superb and perfect in the eyes of people. With her fresh soft skin, she looks tenderly rich of course for a girl who came from money, her parents are notable people.

Her father, Hon. Marks Maywell is a respectable man in his community. His company in his initials- M & M's private services is one of the best at managing, profiling, and handling people's businesses, having partnership with millionaires and billionaires…some exclusive.

Being one of the sponsors of Silverline University makes it more interesting.

Her temper was as dangerous as a nuke. Even the littlest of things irritates her,and she reacts quickly but when it comes to Davis she tends to be considerate.

Last semester, they were given a test in which she clearly wrote in style as she had been burning up a midnight candle.

Last year for her was incredibly the year she enjoyed her course the most particularly her life, the year when she began dating Davis , the year she felt actual love, she felt free like a bird. In between, she had an agreement with her father that he would let her live freely…as at the time Arya didn't have a choice in the house when it's already late.

In the evening, messages from her night owl friends would pop up, inviting and persuading to a big party- "X would be there." They would mention big boys and girls attending…and unfortunate for Arya she would feel miserable and mistreated because her sensitive, overprotective and strict father can't let her have simple fun with friends.

One time she successfully sneaked out,she was rushed to a hospital after she came back home only to be throwing up every hour that passes- the restroom has become her most trusted partner.

First experiences come off worst. She felt good afterwards but then her father became tougher on her and she had to try to make her father proud.

Almost everyone had confirmed their test results, Arya with some of her mates saw her result. It was only three points missing to have all questions answered for her.

Her friends and classmates were so shocked, Arya had done excellently well. It began with murmurs, then mumblings turning into solid discussions.

"Arya got the best result"

"Wow!"

"This is unbelievable…"

Arya began acting up stylishly. Clearly demeaning others, she was the best in her class. She smiled mischievously as her posé changed- a wannabe celebrity, all eyes were in her. A class of not many students, aspiring lawyers.

Arya brought out a fancy fan, as though she was too hot for the room. She walked as though it's 'red carpet'.

"Ahhhhh! woooooo!" A loud cry bursted deeply from the left side. It was a joyous one though.

And the cry got everyone's attention, they looked and it was Jenny, she was always known for her wild side. Almost nobody takes her seriously.

"Omg! The best!" She kept chanting.

This time everyone could see and read through her lips that she wasn't playing.

They all realized someone else has a better result than Arya.

"Who's that?" A manly voice erupted with slight curiosity.

"Definitely not Jenny," a female said jokingly.

Few giggled as Arya rushed her angrily, "what are you playing at?" she asked not nicely. Arya thought Jenny was trying to humiliate her pride.

"Hehehe, Hanna.. bitch! Hanna is the best student," Jenny cackled and boldly exposed as if it was her own result.

Arya's face swelled up, she was looking everywhere to find Hanna. "Where's she?" Her eyes widened unbelievably.

However Hanna was unavailable at that time in school.

From on there, Hanna became a thorn in Arya's flesh. She refuses to accept Hanna is the best, everything about Hanna had her upset.

She even hated the name. For no reason, she also despised a stranger who bears just the name- Hanna.
