Chapter 7

Few minutes before the game had ended, Mandi purposely steered off with her friend Diane.

"Oh Mandi are you sure this is gonna work out? Matthew? This is weird and I doubt…for goodness sake he doesn't even know you". Diane sounded squeaky.

Mandi without a word holding up to her plan, reached to a spot and stopped. "Here. Here Diane, I'll run into him here," said Mandi wearing a strategic smile.

"Oh gosh, how well did she know Mathew to follow this path," Diane spoke rhetorically to herself.

However Mandi responded, "He will. Today's Friday, his girl crush would come this way as well." She let out a sly grin.

Diane gasped unbelievably, completely amazed by her best friend's speculations…she wasn't playing at all.

Mandi sighed while she made a pop sound with her tongue as if she chewed a gum, she put back one of her earplugs and played back her music- not minding Diane's mushy behavior.

Mathew walked fast as if there's something amiss, his mind is unsettled and from the look of his face you'll know he isn't at peace.

While Johnson followed up, about five seconds behind. "Shit! Davis f'd up," Johnson mumbled while holding one of Mathew's tiny bag. Mathew had it forgotten.

Chatting diagonal to Matthew at that moment would be meaningless and a waste of effort.

Johnson tried maintaining close distance as Mathew's step increases, and just around a corner leading to a diversion, Matt accidentally bumps into some girl.

She is sexy with a face white as snow, crazy when need be and her bright flirtatious eyes can possibly lure any man she wants into her bed- that's Mandi.

Both of them collide and a short fancy bag and book with her phone which Mandi have in handy falls, but Mathew was fast enough to get a hold of her phone- Mandi's already wide opened mouth full in shock then shuts quietly.

She cared a lot about her phone, there's nothing about people that isn't saved in a folder in it.

"Sh!t fuck, sorry about that." Mathew amidst his troubled mind apologies.

Mandi fully excited, happiness rushed through her veins. She tries controlling herself, and like she was starstruck- a word could not come out of her lips. Only a wave of smiles forming all over her cheeks, but inside she's blushing.

From afar, she always had the perception of Mathew being too rude and really doesn't care.

And they both keep staring at each other, a silent splendor.

While Diane is standing at a distance, both of her arms locked together looking with her cheeks pale red like a teen watching a romance show- still amazed by her best friend, a baddie.

And right behind is Johnson. "mm mmh," he scoffs to clear the air. Perhaps he's witnessed the awkward situation.

Mandi nervously bent over to pick her things up and Mathew reacted exactly just at the same time.

"Wtf is he doing?" Johnson said to himself, no one heard it.

Mathew retreated to stand back up and Mandi also did accidentally, this time with a heavy smile that seemed uncontrollable.

"Uh um sorry…I should be on my way," Matt stuttered a bit. Racing his thumb through his right eye brow, and turns backward. "Uhh m dude, what's up? You were following me."

Johnson commonly raises his eye brows, like wtf you mean, I picked your bag for ya. He then lifts the Nike purse with a thin string up to his face.

"Ah! Thanks man." Said Matt as he lets out a grateful sigh.

From there, not aware of what comes next. He feels like changing direction away from where he was headed. Mandi and her friend were still there looking weirdly and haven't spoke a pim…

Johnson chimed in "So my guy, where you headed?"

With Mandi standing so close to him that Matt can hear her breath. Confused Mathew trying to figure in his head how to dismiss these girls without feeling guilty…

Mandi feeling hot already, deeply she wishes she could have Matt's contact however Diane blushes hard and can not control her feelings, came close "Aww! hehehe Matthew, you're so good. We watched the game, you're so good- while she speaks Mandi glared at silently but Diane did not stop. "This is my best friend,Mandi…"

Immediately sighting Hanna cutting through to the passage Johnson interrupted, "Oh I'm Johnson, thank you and nice to meet you." As Johnson smiled mischievously he brings forth his hand for a handshake thereby giving Matt a signal by tapping him with his other palm.

The space is currently filled with blushes and smiles especially from the girls. In a nutshell Mandi catches up and fakes a smooth sweet flare up to Matthew.

Mathew trying to save himself looks up inconveniently to the other end, there she comes; Hanna Hamilton walking elegantly.

And as Hanna raises her head, their eyes met.

Mathew already looking nervous and feel tense.

"Shhhh I'd be damned, if it was Sheila." Johnson taunts in regards to his own ex-girlfriend.

"Nah man, I did nothing," Mathew responds while he gently pulls himself a bit away from Mandi and her friend.
