Chapter 48: His Fiancee

This was probably the most insane thing I had ever even thought to do. Still, my feet propelled me down the hallway toward Professor Bennett’s office. I didn’t even know what I was going to say or how I was going to say it. I kept imagining the worst-case scenario in my mind, which would be a cold rejection. I pictured the way Professor Bennett’s green eyes would darken and the corner of his lips would turn down. Somehow, that wasn’t stopping me from going through with this.

It had been a few days since I talked to Mal and Aiden. They were right. This past semester had been torture because I was keeping my feelings bottled up. I wasn’t being true to myself. It had been fine at first when this was just a harmless crush. Ever since our first session together though, it was no longer a tiny, casual crush. Each time I saw him after that first night, I wanted him more and more. It was way past the point of affecting my everyday life. He completely consumed my thoughts and actions.
