No Wonder Some People Have Ill Intentions

Although inspecting fabrics was Old Mrs. Ford's excuse, she genuinely wanted to give Cynthia some fabrics. After Cynthia chose a piece of fabric, she and Pepper headed back.

However, Cynthia was surprised not to see Tristan around. Old Mrs. Ford noticed her unconsciously scanning the surroundings, and a smile played on her lips.

"That little rascal went to take a call," Old Mrs. Ford patted the spot beside her. "Girl, come sit next to Grandma."

Cynthia agreed and walked over to take a seat. Old Mrs. Ford held her hand and gently patted her hand. "It's really a pity for you to be with that little rascal, Tristan."

Cynthia chuckled, "He's very good to me."

She never felt it was a hardship to be with Tristan. Instead, she felt sorry for Tristan.

If only she had met him a bit earlier.

"You don't have to speak well of him for me. I know his temperament the best," Old Mrs. Ford said. "If he ever dares to mistreat you, you tell Grandma, and Grandma will stand by your side!"
