Mr. Cartman, Here to Hold Me Accountable

Cynthia raised an eyebrow, casually placing her phone on the table. "Mr. Cartman, are you here to hold me accountable?" George, with a gentle smile playing on his lips, walked over and took a seat on the single sofa in the lounge area.

Looking at him, Cynthia's eyes sparkled with a sly smile. "People change."

Moreover, she had disrupted Cartman's plans for the alliance with Patwin this time. Even if George and Old Mr. Cartman didn't say anything, the other Cartmans might not be happy.

George looked at her, a hint of clear understanding flashing in his eyes. "Marriage is just a means, not the only way for our family."

In other words, the successful alliance between Cartman and Patwin is just an added bonus.

Cynthia wasn't surprised by his words. After all, Cartman was one of the four major families. If they completely relied on the success or failure of the alliance for the family's rise or fall, there would be no need for them to participate in this business meeting.
