Either Misunderstanding or a PUA Master

When Gu Pianpian arrived, Kan Lan was in the yard, bending over to weed her vegetables.

"Ms. Kan," Gu Pianpian waved, a gentle smile playing on her slightly upturned lips.

Upon hearing her name, Kan Lan paused for a moment. She hadn't been addressed as "Ms. Kan" in many years.

Kan Lan looked up and met the gaze of the unfamiliar young woman. Her expression turned somewhat chilly. "And you are?"

Clearly, she didn't recognize the young lady before her.

"Ms. Kan, I'm Gu Pianpian. I heard from my colleagues that you didn't quite like the design proposal," Gu Pianpian's eyes curved as she spoke in a soft voice. "I've come today to discuss your thoughts. Do you have some time?"

Kan Lan assessed Gu Pianpian; she was indeed a clever woman. She hadn't expressed dissatisfaction; she'd used the term 'not liking.'

The bright and lively smile on her face was something Kan Lan hadn't seen for years. But it wasn't enough to change her attitude towards Gu Pianpian. "No, I have to weed."
