A few moments later, Elara returned with a small vial of tonic. She handed it to Alpha Vesper, her hands shaking. "This should help," she said, her voice filled with hope.

Alpha Vesper carefully poured the tonic into a glass and held it to the Alpha Harlan's lips. "Drink this," he said gently.

Alpha Harlan took a few sips, his face showing a slight improvement. "Thank you," he whispered again, his eyes closing in exhaustion.

Elara sat back down beside him, holding his hand. "We need to keep him stable," she said, her voice firm. "We can't let anyone find out about his condition."

Alpha Vesper nodded, his face serious. "We'll keep this between us," he said. "But we need to find a permanent solution. We need to figure out what's causing this."

Elara looked at Alpha Harlan, her eyes filled with determination. "We'll find a way," she said. "We have to."
