The attack on the academy continued with the staffs did their best in holding back the Crimson members.

Currently, an intense fight was going on between Fen and a guy called Behar. Fen dodged a bolt of lightning, commanding the winds to wrap around him.

"Wind blade!" He sent out various wind blades towards Behar who dodged them easily edging closer. "You have to do better than that to defeat me!" Behar said, kicking off the ground. He threw his clenched fist which was wrapped in lightning towards Fen's head.

"Ice wall!" A wall of ice appeared blocking the incoming fist and exploded, sending shards of ice all over the place. Fen with a calm expression, hurled large rocks towards Behar and propelling forward swung his leg.

A large amount of wind was produced disrupting his movements and Fen had dashed in with legs covered in rocks. He kicked out but struck the empty ground sending rocks shooting across the area.

He felt a tingling sensation behind his neck and quickly, a wall of rock rose protecting his back from the sparks of lightning. "This guy is quite troublesome," he thought. "It's time I take this serious."

The aura around him began to change with the wind getting fierce. "Cyclone blast!" He shouted. The wind gathered, condensing and sped forward. Behar wasn't left out with his hands glowing dark, he shouted,"Dark pulse!"

A large amount of dark wave of energy clashed with the fierce wind dispelling the attack.

"Gust of the wind! Wind barrage!" The wind once again obeyed his command with several sharp wind blades shot forward. Behar, his feet wrapped in lightning dashed forward evading the wind blades.

"Take this!" He shouted getting close to him. With fist wrapped in lightning, he threw it straight at his head. The wind began to converge around both, wrapping round his hands and pushing him to the ground.

The wind turned chilly with a blue aura wrapping around him, slowly forming a solid block of ice around him.

"Ice prison!" The ice enclosed him, leaving no room for escape. "That would hold him down for some minutes," he said, dashing towards the opposite side. The street was empty, with little scuffle going on in some areas. Gliding across the earth, and making use of the earth's vibration approached a hot clash.

Darius his body covered in injuries swung his blade swiftly dealing with the last enemy. Around him were bodies, all members of the Crimson Fangs.

He settled down, leaning on the edge of a building. Approaching him, Fen cast a healing spell which wrapped around him and healed him. "It seems you don't need help here. What about the rest? Have you heard from them?" Fen asked, walking forward.

"No, I think they would be alright. The guards are fighting off the rest, things will be ok before long."

"ARGHHHH!" They heard a scream with a large explosion of dark magic, sending ice shards around the area. "The students, if possible, I think we should send a force to assist them with the battle coming to an end now."

"Alright, I'll take some few staffs with me and head there," Darius said. "Are you coming with me?"

"No, I have an unfinished business here," he said with a smile. "Here he comes, I'm sure you'll be able to handle anything that comes your way there."

Kicking off the ground, he glided across the rocks heading towards the wave of darkness coming at him.

Conjuring a high tier spell, the temperature dropped instantly with a freezing mist spreading across the area. "You don't know when to quit, do you? Well, I think it's time I end this!"

"Blizzard!" The wind howled fiercely with icy shards converging around the area. In one swift movement the attack was sent forward. Sharp winds with icy shards shooting towards the dark mist.

The dark mist began crackling with lightning shooting across the area. The atmosphere underwent a change with dark clouds covering the area. "Tempest!" Both attacks clashed causing a large explosion of mist, lightning shards and chaotic winds over the area.

Both figures used their various means in protecting themselves from the debris and were getting ready for the next round.

Abby led the group through, ensuring they threaded carefully. The area was quite dark but was good enough to see ahead.

The dripping sound of water could be heard across some areas. The construction building was one of the biggest in the outer zone amd the main source of income for most.

A large building covering several miles of land. A certain scraping sound caught their attention with all staring towards their right. There, a large beast about three meters with rat like features and a large nose covering most of its face.

One thing they noticed was the lack of eyes. It was currently hanging on a long rod and scraping its claws over the metal.

"Won't it be best we get rid of it now" Alex suggested. "It might pose a problem to us later."

"Not without calling its mates, that beast moves in group. Be careful not to make any noise," she said quietly.

The beast nose had tweaked along with its ears becoming pointed and it turned its head toward their direction.

Abby placed her fingers in her lip signalling for them to continue forward. From the opposite direction a bright light moved through getting closer to their direction.

"They've found them!" One of the students exclaimed loudly, letting out a relieved sigh. Everyone was quite tensed when ordered to continue onwards after seeing the strange beast etched on the metal pole.

With the people being found it means they didn't have to continue in that direction causing them to let out a relief sigh with one of them over reacting.

The beast had moved immediately the sound was made, its body streaking pass the metal poles over their heads.

"What have you done! You idiot!" Abby shouted as she readied her spell. Wisps of flames danced around her arms before shooting across the moving beast.

It had hit the beast on its side sending it crashing down. The beast hurt, let out a high pitched squeal which echoed around the building.

"Everyone, Run!" Abby shouted. They could all feel the area shaking and with rapid footsteps all over the place.

They weren't told twice before they dashed forward, struggling to escape the area. With the noise from their feet, the beast were onto them. One had grabbed a student with its long claws, stabbing him through the chest.

"ARGHH! SAVE ME!" The guy shouted but got no response. Several of the beasts appeared, surrounding the guy with the sound of ripping flesh echoing over the area.

"Fireball!" Abby shouted, hurling a large ball of flames towards them. The flame exploded killing most of the beasts.

"C'mon! Don't fall behind!" She shouted, sending another fireball towards the edge of the room. "Firewall!" A wall of flames appeared burning the metal poles causing them to collapse.

The beasts didn't give up, continuing with their relentless chase. The mages were mostly the ones behind due to their physique. Though few were able to cast buff spells increasing their speed.

Alex at the front was the first to reach the designated spot there had planned to meet up and drawing upon his sword, he stood in a battle stance.

From the south wing, a group of students led by Elena along with the survivors filed out, joining up with Alex.

"Quick inform the rest to come back!" Abby said, conjuring her flames. "Take them out of the area, head straight to the center of the plain. I'll meet up with you guys." She said to Elena.

"Alex follow them, I'll send another group to assist you guys. The rest of you prepare yourselves! We are to hold the beasts until they move out of the area."

"C'mon, what are you waiting for? Let's go!" Alex urged them, using his eyes to scan the survivors. Sighting Zoe, he released a soft sigh.

Elena, looking at Abby once more finally headed out along with the rest. "Remember what she said, we are to head to the center of the plain."

"Elena if I don't show up, you guys should follow the path straight to the border," she said throwing a device in her direction. "This will help you in communicating with the other side."

With that they headed out of the building, entering their horses, which they had to share with the survivors, they rode through heading towards their destination.
