Need A Supporter

Chapter 232 - Need A Supporter

Mahiro returned to the Hostess of Fertility to rest as usual.

However, Mahiro felt a little surprised about his status.

Unlike Hestia's worries, Mahiro was curious about how his status would continue to grow.

The next morning, the sun was already high in the sky, and its warm rays dispersed the morning fog.

Most of the shops on the street had opened, and the noise of pedestrians filled the air.

At this time, Mahiro slowly walked out of his room.

"Mahiro, good morning!"

As he went downstairs, he happened to run into Anya.

The cat-eared girl, as always, radiated boundless energy and greeted Mahiro with a bright smile.

"Morning, Anya," Mahiro replied.

"Syr, you can bring out your love bento now," chimed in another cat-eared girl, Chloe Rollo, who had short black hair and a slender figure.

Over the past few days, Chloe had also become familiar with Mahiro and occasionally teased him and Syr.

"Mahiro, you woke up unusually late today," Ryuu remarked as she busied herself with work, glancing at Mahiro.

"Yeah, I've been a bit tired from exploring the Dungeon these past few days, so I slept in today," Mahiro explained.

Unlike his usual routine, Mahiro had woken up late today.

He typically left around six in the morning, but now it was almost eight, and he was just preparing to head out.

"Mahiro, aren't you going to the Dungeon for an adventure today?" Syr emerged from the kitchen holding a bento box, her eyes lighting up at Mahiro's words.

She looked at him expectantly, as if stars were shining in her eyes.

If Mahiro was free today, maybe she could invite him on a date?

"Syr, come on," Anya snickered slyly, whispering to her.

"Um, Mahiro... would you like to spend the day with us?" Syr's cheeks turned pink as she mustered the courage to ask.

"Today, I need to visit the Guild first, and then head to the Dungeon," Mahiro replied.

That was why he had woken up a little later than usual.

After all, the Guild didn't open that early.

"Okay," Syr replied, her shoulders slumping in disappointment.

However, she quickly perked up, smiled, and handed the bento to Mahiro.

"This time, it's a new dish. According to me, it's great for restoring your energy."

"Thanks," Mahiro said, accepting the bento box before bidding farewell to everyone.

After leaving the Hostess of Fertility, Mahiro headed straight to the Guild headquarters.

The Guild in the morning was as bustling as ever, filled with adventurers coming and going.

From early morning until noon, the Guild headquarters was always crowded with adventurers.

The gentle sunlight streamed into the Guild hall, and adventurers of various races whispered among themselves.

Most were reading notices on the bulletin board, while others exchanged magic stones for valis.

In contrast, the reception area was relatively calm.

Since most of the adventurers here were veterans, there weren't many inquiries.

Most simply asked if there were any parties looking for members and then left.

"Eina, you're spacing out again. Maybe you're thinking about your lover," Misha, the pink-haired girl at the counter, teased as she leaned closer to the half-elf girl with a mischievous grin.

"Don't talk nonsense," Eina replied, flustered for a moment before regaining her composure.

"It's work time now."

"Eina, you're so boring," Misha sighed, bored.

Then, her eyes lit up as she looked ahead and tugged at Eina's arm. "Eina, your lover is here."

"I told you, stop teasing me," Eina said, glaring at Misha helplessly.

Ever since she had become Mahiro's advisor, Misha's gossipy nature had been in full swing, and she loved to tease Eina about it whenever she had the chance.

But was she really that obvious about Mahiro? Eina couldn't help but wonder.

"I'm telling the truth," Misha said, pretending to look hurt, then pointed toward the entrance.

Eina turned her gaze and was surprised to see a young man walking through the crowd, heading straight for her counter.

"Eina," Mahiro greeted with a smile as he approached.

Eina responded with a happy smile of her own.

"Mahiro, I haven't seen you at the Guild for the past two days. Have you been exploring the Dungeon?" Eina asked.

For rookie adventurers, it was usually beneficial to visit the Guild frequently.

Adventurer advisors like Eina could teach rookies a lot of useful knowledge, which was incredibly helpful for Dungeon exploration.

"Yeah, I've been busy exploring the Dungeon," Mahiro replied with a smile.

"How's it going? Do you have any questions? I can help answer them," Eina offered.

"Well, the Dungeon's terrain is pretty complicated. It'd be great if there were something like an elevator to reach all the floors," Mahiro said thoughtfully.

Eina was momentarily speechless.

She had expected Mahiro to bring up common issues that most rookie adventurers faced.

While she was usually tired of answering the same questions over and over, she had hoped to use this opportunity to chat with Mahiro for a while.

But of course, Mahiro didn't follow the script.

The terrain is complicated, so add an elevator? How was she supposed to respond to that?

"By the way, Eina, I actually have something to ask you this time," Mahiro said.

"What is it?"

"I'm looking to recruit a supporter. Does the Guild have any recommendations?" Mahiro inquired.
