Behind the Mask

We entered swiftly after dimming the back camera. I took the sign-in register; I would need it later to distract the security guard. Mika entered the HR manager’s office naturally; the receptionist wasn’t even surprised by Mika’s presence since she had already been informed by an anonymous professional agent—me—to expect his arrival, as the usual HR manager was feeling unwell due to food poisoning. Then Katlego entered the office. I went to the storeroom to find the enrollment papers of John Dewald. Katlego filled in the job application papers and attached a resume with fake qualifications. Mika stamped the paper with the large, red-inked word "hired" and faxed them to the principal, who then replied with an email to Katlego.

"You start tomorrow morning at 8 am."

"She got in," Mika whispered.

"Where's Lebo?" asked Sam.

"I got them, let's go," I said.
