TEN YEARS AGO, James had a nanny whom he called mummy. Mercy had employed a special nanny to take care and look after James, her name was ‘Lyca’. Mercy had told James to always call Lyca mum, so even after Mercy died James called Lyca mum. Lyca was the only one who could see James’ eyes as nothing bad happened to her. James was told that she was the only one who had such immunity and that his eyes were too dangerous, so no one could or was allowed to see it. This seldom made him sad, but Lyca made him feel good about it so he loved her very much. So, throughout the years, Lyca was there for James.

Robert on the other hand, did nothing for James. He spent his money recklessly, Lyca was the person who always paid rent. Robert started to slip off after a while, so they had to move to a place Mercy owned which was to be transferred to James when he reached 20.
