Annabeth pov
Arriving home I took off my bags and ID for work after which I went for shower; wore my night wear after which I left to take my delivery from a food delivery guy which I order while arriving home, I settled down and had my dinner after which I got a call from Micky who was a friend of mine and he's currently a journalist who travels around the world telling the story of various findings he discovers, ** hi Anna how're you** to which I replied fine and he asked me how was my work; and how he would be visiting me anytime soon which I find very sweet of him too and I replied with ** can't wait **.
Well I look forward to spending time with him cause we always have a crazy time together, were we go out to different eatery to try their famous dishes after which we hit the club and have a crazy time of drinking and just having fun which excites me, I put down the phone after wishing him goodbye which he responded with a kiss from his end and soon my room was left silent again which gets to me sometimes like now. I walked towards my bed side and took out the box close to it and sat at my bed while pulling out a photos of my once family, I watched mom holding me with a smile on her face while Dad stood hugging mom from behind; we were all happy taking the picture with grandma at the side which caused tears to drop from my eyes which I alway try to hide but yet always falls, I guess I still miss them though and I can't forget their face easily much to my surprise even if it's been thirteen years now, well it all began as a result of my dad's terrible choice which caused him a great loss to both his business and he's life from a terrible group of Gangstar's. Dad needed money cause his business was at the stage of crumbling which he couldn't handle seeing, so he decided to seek help from the gangster boss who lend him his help but end up playing twisted game with dad; which he orchestrated from the very beginning and duped dad into Lossing the money which he lend him while causing a fatal accident for him and mom on their way to meet up with some of their investors, after which the gangster boss came with a document signed by Dad claiming ownership of dad's property and house which grandma and I couldn't do anything about. Which made me more angry at all their ploy and deceitful games which they kept playing till now, and only grandma was the family relative I have left cause she and I were at the house the day they left for the meeting; grandma has been strong all through the years keeping me safe from them while watching over her health, one time the gangster boss came over and asked my grandma to vacate the house that he had already sold it and she stood her grounds against him after several attempts he left even if she knew he would try other attempts she just remained strong and unyielding.
I went over to the bathroom and washed my face after which I turned of the light and prepared for bed, when I got a text from an unknown number ** how long can your grandma be alive ** seeing the text I was left terrified out of my wit; I mean does this person plan on harming grandma what do they want from me and what do I have that they want so much, I tried calling the number which showed out of coverage to my surprise and I left a message ** what do you want ** I guess I was tired of all these game already and I'm prepared to settle this ones and for all.
