After a moment of just staring at the screen in incredulous silence, Micael's expression changed as he regained his calm, his brow furrowing as he commented to himself. — "What the hell happened?"

Not for a moment did he believe that this message from Rias was serious, clearly, something happened.

And he already had an idea of what the cause would be, he just didn't understand the logic that would make her want to reject him directly instead of trying to explain it to him.

"Now that I have decided to be with you, do you reject me? You've got to be kidding me." — Without wasting any more time, Micael took off his headphones, got up from the chair and quickly left his room.

He wasn't going to stay there and do nothing, he was going to go to school right now to talk to her and understand what was happening.

Leaving the room, he went downstairs with quick steps and seeing that his father was already in the living room while he heard the sound of cutlery coming from the kitchen with Miyako.

Reaching the man on the couch, he spoke quickly. — "Hey, something happened, I'm going to school to talk to Rias." — And without waiting for a response, Micael walked away towards the door.

Francisco looked over his shoulder towards him as he asked. — "What happened? Is it something serious?"

"It has nothing to do with our supernatural problem, don't worry, I'll be right back." — Micael responded as he reached the door and unceremoniously opened it, walking through it quickly and closing it.

Francisco heard the sound of the door closing, only blinking calmly at his son's hurried behavior.

"What happened?"

Turning his head to the other side, Francisco saw Miyako coming from the kitchen with a dish towel drying her hands.

"Micael quickly left to talk to that girl, he said it was nothing serious despite his behavior." — Francisco spoke as he turned his focus to the TV, his demeanor casual.

With her gaze shifting toward the exit at Francisco's words, Miyako frowned, she was naturally worried about Micael.

Her mind ended up going back to the source of her emotional turmoil from yesterday, but knowing that thinking about it would only send her into a spiral of worry, she looked away at Francisco as she pushed her thoughts aside.

"What about you? Aren't you worried?" — She asked with her brow still furrowed, Micael leaving the house now would always make her tense, even though she knew he wasn't defenseless.

"Of course I am, this situation doesn't please me at all, but if he said it's nothing then it's okay." — Francisco responded without taking his eyes off the TV, then looking at her, he smiled slightly, reassuring her by extending his hand. — "Don't worry, it'll be okay, come on, come here."

Miyako stared at his hand in silence for a moment before sighing, her forehead relaxing as she approached him.

Taking his hand and placing it on her shoulder, she sat on his lap as she leaned against him and hugged him.

With her head resting on his chest, she spoke weakly. — "I'm just worried about him and us, this whole situation is completely absurd."

"I know, but for now we can only do what he said, at least we have to be here to show our support in whatever is necessary." — With his hand on her shoulder pressing her against him, he used the other to gently smooth her hair.

Feeling Francisco's gentle affection and hearing his heartbeat, Miyako snuggled closer to him, closing her eyes and speaking with a sigh. — "Sigh, I know."

With his wife hugging him, Francisco continued to comfort her, despite the fact that he himself was not at all comfortable with his son's situation.

The helplessness he felt made him really angry, seeing his son going through something like that and not being able to do anything made him almost feel useless as a father and as a man.

But he couldn't show weakness, a strong front was needed, as he served as a reference for Miyako and Mari, if he seemed calm and not desperate, they would feel more at ease.

At the very least, he knew he didn't need to worry too much about Micael's psychological situation, after all, that boy was never normal.

With a slight amused smile appearing on his face, he looked away at Miyako with her eyes closed.

Akguem could say that his greater concern for Mari and Miyako was blatant favoritism, but he could easily imagine Micael's response if he tried to ask how he was doing.

'Nah, I'm fine old man, just focus on the two of them.'

Micael would definitely say that while carelessly waving his hand.

Exhaling weakly through his nose, Francisco thought internally. — 'I'm here to help you with whatever you need, my son, even if I don't say it, but you certainly already know.' — With thoughts of him, his gaze shifts towards the exit.

Meanwhile, unaware of this interaction between his father and stepmother, Micael was already outside running at high speed through the streets of Kuoh.

Moving at that speed, practically breaking records and his figure being almost a blur to anyone who saw, he ran towards the Kuoh academy.

...

Meanwhile, at Kuoh Academy, a few minutes ago right after sending that last message to Micael, Rias was in the ORC room sitting on one of the sofas and leaning forward with her hands on her face.

She was in silent agony for sending that message to Micael, writing and sending it was more impactful than she imagined.

Taking a deep, slow breath, she removed her hands from her face as she leaned against the couch, her head hanging over the back as she stared blankly at the ceiling.

Her expression at the moment was somewhat blank, but the trembling of her eyebrows indicated an effort to control her emotions.

In fact, at that moment Rias wanted nothing more than to cry, but she felt that it would be a very exaggerated reaction, even though she thought it was natural.

Her first crush had just happened, but she couldn't even enjoy it properly while she had to end it herself.

And thinking about it only made her frustration grow, which also made her remember the cause, making her anger increase.

Her emotions were growing to the point that her blank expression began to crack, she bit her lip as she frowned, her eyes beginning to water as she fought the urge to cry.

Click—

However, just as she was about to give up and start crying for real, she heard the sound of the door opening.

Straightening quickly, she saw that the person entering was Akeno.

"Ah, it's just you Akeno." — Rias spoke while wiping her eyes.

Approaching her without speaking, Akeno stopped when she crossed her arms under her breasts, seeing how Rias was doing, Akeno spoke directly. — "Alright, Rias, what the hell happened? Since I saw you this morning, you seem to be dead and now you seem to be crying, so what is it?"

With a bitter smile appearing on her face, Rias looks down with her hands resting on her thigh, speaking weakly. — "So you noticed."

Resisting the urge to roll her eyes, Akeno replied. — "Of course I noticed, it was too obvious not to notice, so, does it have anything to do with Micael? He didn't reject you or anything like that from the way he spoke yesterday."

Blinking her eyes as she processed Akeno's words, Rias looked at her somewhat surprised as she asked. — "Wait, how did you-"

"How did I know you liked Micael?" — This time Akeno couldn't resist rolling her eyes, responding calmly. — "At first it was just a joke, but after a while I started to get suspicious, but it was only yesterday that I had my confirmation, after all, among all of us, you were the one who reacted the most to Micael's condition."

Rias just looked at her silently with her mouth slightly open.

Shrugging her shoulders, Akeno continued. — "Don't be so surprised, for those who know you it was a little obvious, but I know that neither Koneko nor Kiba suspected anything until now, but I'm sure Grayfia-sama noticed it from the beginning."

Looking at Rias who just remained silent, waiting for her to compose herself, Akeno silently thought. — 'Well, Koneko and Kiba didn't notice anything because they have no interest in that kind of thing and no experience, I only suspected it because it was the most logical thing, I might know what it's like to be attracted to someone, but not what it's like to like them.'

As she pondered, Rias finally snapped out of her surprised state.

With a bitter smile appearing on her face, Rias lowered her eyes as she spoke. — "So that was it, well you're right, it has something to do with Micael, but he's not the direct cause, it's me, my condition is the problem." — She leaned forward as she spoke, her palms supporting her chin.

"Your engagement?" — Akeno asked back as she immediately understood what she was talking about.

Rias just nodded without saying anything else.

Looking at her for a moment, Akeno was silent, until she spoke slowly. — "You know, sometimes I forget how stupid you can be."

"Huh? Why are you calling me names out of nowhere?" — Rias exclaimed as she straightened up in disbelief looking at Akeno.

"You can just date Micael in secret." — Akeno responded with a neutral look and seeing how Rias was about to speak, she continued. — "I'm sure Sirzecs-sama really won't be against it, as long as you don't lose your virginity, I doubt he would tell the Phoenix family about you dating someone."

Rias opened her mouth to speak, but Akeno interrupted her again. — "Kuoh City is your territory Rias, unless you are extremely obvious, I doubt any news about you dating a human in the human world will reach Riser who is barely out of the underworld."

Biting her lip for a moment, Rias, looking uncertain, tried to speak again, but was interrupted once again.

"Furthermore, although Sirzecs-sama assured us that he would resolve this, borrowing a phrase from Micael himself, 'it's better to be prepared for the worst', Micael can perhaps help you and even all of us to become stronger with your powers, whatever they may be." — Tilting her head a little, Akeno continued. — "After all, that was the main reason you signed him, wasn't it? That his powers could help us in many ways, including this one."

Finishing speaking, Akeno calmly watched as Rias's expression slowly changed as she seemed to process his words, her face changing from anguished and frowning to one of wide-eyed hope.

With her eyes almost shining and full of emotion, Rias practically jumped off the couch with renewed spirits as she spoke almost shouting. — "You're completely right!"

"Of course I am." — Akeno nodded with a slight smile on her face.

Grabbing her cell phone from the table, Rias muttered as she frantically began to write a message to Micael. — "I have to talk to him as soon as-"

Clang— Clang— Clang—

"Rias, it's me, Koneko said you were inside, can I come in? I want to talk to you."

However, when the sound of knocking on the door and Micael's familiar voice sounded, Rias completely ceased her movements.

Then, mechanically turning her head towards Akeno, she moved her lips speaking in a whispering tone. — "What do I do?"

"What do you mean by what you do? Go and invite him in." — Akeno responded in a normal tone of voice, not trying to hide it, rolling her eyes at her as her arms uncrossed and one of them rested on her waist.

Seemingly panicked, Rias muttered as she grabbed her hair. — "What do I do? I must look horrible!"(no, she wasn't)

She felt really inadequate at that moment, she thought she must look horrible with her hair disheveled, her face swollen and her eyes and nose red (no, she wasn't).

Starting to feel tired, Akeno muttered in a truly tired tone. — "Magic Rias, use magic."

Upon hearing Akeno, Rias' despair disappeared as she immediately calmed down. — "Oh..." — Then, following as directed, she used magic on herself, her figure glowing for a moment as she "corrected" her appearance.

"So how am I?" — She asked as she approached Akeno, extending her arms as she did a quick spin.

Looking her up and down for a moment, Akeno responded by looking at her with a slight smile. — "You're still ugly."

The corner of Rias' mouth twitched when she heard the answer to her question, she suppressed the urge to curse Akeno and gave her the middle finger while just shaking her head.

Without hesitating any longer, with tense steps and feeling immensely nervous, Rias arrived at the door.

Outside, Micael waited in silence, he had heard voices inside although he didn't understand what they were saying.

He wondered if he should knock again, but the opening of the door interrupted his reasoning.

In front of him, a red-faced Rias with an embarrassed smile appeared, but it wasn't just her expression that surprised him, it was her outfit as well.

She wore clothes and a hairstyle different from the school uniform and the standard loose hair, her hair was in a simple ponytail and she wore shorts that reached mid-thigh and were somewhat baggy, similar to Mari's, along with a wide-neck sweater exposing her shoulders with the thin straps of what was a sleeveless shirt underneath.

Blinking his eyes in surprise, Micael slowly composed himself, this change in her attire really affected him.

'A simple change of clothes and hairstyle completely changed her aura, giving her a completely different attractiveness, beautiful people are really something else.'

He thought internally as he admired her silently resisting the urge to nod and stroke his chin.

With the blush on her face threatening to increase from being stared at so closely, Rias tucked a strand of hair behind her ear as she invited him inside.

"Come in." — She spoke as calmly as she could, with an embarrassed smile still on her face.

With the girl making space for him, Micael entered the room saying

"Excuse me."

Keeping his eyes on her, he watched silently as she closed the door, then turned to him, just looking at him and seeming to not know what to say with that embarrassed smile.

Without saying anything and just looking at her calmly, Micael resisted the urge to laugh when the girl seemed to become more embarrassed with him, with her putting her hair behind her ears, looking to the side and rubbing her hands.

"I think you better stop staring at her or she'll end up exploding."

With that female voice sounding amused, Micael shifts his focus to the other presence in the room.

He had seen Akeno when he entered but as his focus was mainly on Rias, he didn't look at her in more detail, but now upon seeing her, he got yet another surprise.

Just like Rias, Akeno had changed her outfit, although her hair remained in its usual ponytail, her outfit was not her school uniform.

She appeared to be wearing a black dress with a long billowy skirt that reached her knees, while the sleeves covered her shoulders, most of her trapezius was exposed.

Most of her collarbone was also exposed, but she had no cleavage, not that she needed it, with the size of her breasts, she didn't need cleavage to attract attention.

Looking at the smiling girl, Micael was surprised once again, in fact, beautiful people are something else, he thought as his gaze wandered over the surprisingly feminine outfit.

This type of clothing wasn't something he expected her to wear, but since he only knew a part of her personality, it wasn't that surprising.

"Hahaha~ Be careful Micael-kun, if you look too much Rias will get jealous~."

Hearing Akeno, he turned his gaze to her face, seeing her with that ara-ara expression, a smile half covered by her hands and her eyes half-closed.
