Two days later....
*Vroom*
*Crunch*
It has been two days since Alex's shopping spree that ended in a heartache and now he was on a bus to the dungeon [Goblin Den]. The guild provides buses to transport explorers to the destination of their quest free of cost. These buses had a stealth feature that made their engines give off as little sound as possible. Additionally these buses were made of a type of metal found in dungeons which gave it some defense against beasts and monsters while not slowing them down in the slightest. The engines were powered by man with cores serving as batteries.
The bus had the capacity to hold up to 30 people comfortably and currently all the seats except the one beside Alex was occupied. After Alex entered the bus many people were looking at him while some were whispering to each other in quiet voices including the three level 9s, Bayal, Alice and Chris. While Alex leaned back in his seat he could feel their gazes on him sizing him up, some seemed to be staring at him in skepticism, some in contempt and others in jealousy but Alex paid no attention to any of them. Suddenly Alex sensed a shadow move towards him and sit in the seat beside him. Opening his eyes he was met with a pair of dull red eyes.
"Hi, my name's Chris. Nice to meet you." Chris said enthusiastically.
"Alex." He said a bit uncomfortable. He wasn't used to people talking to him like that which made him a bit suspicious.
"Yeah I already know that. Your quite famous despite being new to the guild. I mean your the only noobie I've ever heard of joining the guild at level 11 and being from the outskirts to boot." Chris said
"How do you know that I'm from the outskirts." Alex said, voice oozing danger.
"What do you mean? Everyone has heard the rumours of a level 11 noobie from the outskirts. Although your name wasn't mentioned it was pretty easy to put two and two together." Chris shrugged seemingly oblivious to the danger oozing from Alex's voice.
'That bitch.' Thinking about how such information was leaked he instantly thought of Julie since she was the only he's ever told and from the impression he got of her she didn't like people from the outskirts very much. As he contemplated how to take his revenge he heard Chris ask.
"How did you reach level 11 so fast?"
"Huh?"
"I mean your only 16 which means that you only unlocked your system recently. So how did you level up so fast?" Chris asked with an enthusiastic smile. At this point everyone was listening to their conversation, all eager to figure out how someone from the outskirts was able to level up so fast.
"I killed a lot of monsters." And just like that everyone's dream of finding a fast and easy way to level up was dashed.
"How many?" Chris asked not at all disheartened by Alex's answer.
"Hundreds."
"And where would one such as yourself find a place you can slay hundreds of monsters to slay in a short period of time." Chris asked with an amused smile.
'I guess it wouldn't be a big deal to tell them.' And with that Alex told everyone the story of how he got trapped in the [Demon Lair] (he obviously excluded the part about stealing [Silver Raptor]), how he met up with Carla and Robert, he didn't use their real names but fake names just incase, and how together they were able to conquer the dungeon and escape. Just by looking at everyone's face he could tell they didn't believe him, hell even to Alex's ears it sounded like a fairytale.
"That story sounds like a load of bullshit but if it's true then Wow man. Just Wow." Chris said with a smile.
Alex wasn't expecting this reaction from Chris, he honestly expected him to get pissed off and call him a liar and then storm off to sit somewhere else. The rest of the journey was done in silence as everyone mentally prepared themselves to face what could be the most traumatizing experience in their lives. Soon the bus stopped and all the F ranked explorers exited the bus and before them stood a dungeon gate. Unlike the one Alex had seen before this one didn't look obsidian and protray battling demons instead this one was wooden brown in colour and depicted a forest with small, primitive club wielding creatures walking around. In the center of the dungeon gate was a green swirling portal.
Before entering the dungeon gate all the explorers stated to summon they're arnaments, the armours summoned by the explorers varied from person to person. Some of them seemed to be made from leather while others were made from metal but all of them radiated the aura of an E ranked arnament. The weapons used wasn't really that varied since most used swords while others used spears and bows there wasn't anyone who used any unique weapons like scythes or whips. Following the example of everyone else, Alex summoned his arnaments as well, [Impish Shroud] and [Crimson Fang]. To say the least no one was really impressed by his arnaments but Alex didn't mind he wasn't trying to show off, atleast not yet. After everyone summoned their arnaments they entered the dungeon without any further delay.
[Welcome challenger you have entered the F ranked dungeon [Goblin Den].]
'Here we go again.'
