Era of Reckoning

"Finally, I'm back." Alex said as he got off the bus and stretched his limbs. He had finally returned to Mountmend after being away for five days and although he wasn't home sick, he couldn't wait to get back as he was sure the Inferis Mafia was looking for him in Braxton. So being as far as possible from that city was something he wanted, even though he knew that it wouldn't help much. 


'I should get back home quickly and let those two out before they run out of food.' Alex thought and hurried home. 


"I'll get it." An unfamiliar voice said from behind the door after Alex knocked.


'Who the hell is that?' Alex thought as his eyes turned sharp, and he could sense her shadow getting closer.
