Revered Magus Chapter 10 – looting the looters

Rio searched around the bandit's body after taking his spatial ring to see if he was carrying anything extra however it seems he put everything in his ring, Rio then went back to the previous bandit he killed and did the same.

The loot Rio had was amazing, maybe due to the fact they plundered a lot all their hard work just ended up in Rio's hand.

The money would no longer be a problem and various martial arts books were inside both of them with uncountable pills and weapons. The thing that caught Rio's eye was a strange pill the system picked up while he analyzed the pills to see if his luck picks up anything, and it seems it did.

[Ding! Host Analyzed Explosive Mana Pill]

[Description – Helps break through the Major bottleneck (Mage and below)]

Rio's eyes gleamed, when trying to reach 1st Rank Mage Initiate, and can use this and take one step to the next level. Since it would be a lot harder than breaking through minor levels when the time comes for Rio to break a major realm this pill would be very helpful.

He saw a map of Santos Empire in one of the rings lucky because without this he would be wandering around aimlessly. 'System Absorb' he thought.

[Ding! Absorbing Knowledge...Complete]

He went dizzy for a second before knowing where he was and where to go from now on. He ran using Wind Catcher for about 4 hours before seeing the city gate of Solia City where the Magus Academy resided. As he was lining up at the gate for security and check-up. He scanned one of the guards to see the power level of the city.

'Wow, though I was expecting it to be high I didn't expect it to be this high' Rio thought before proceeding to scan the other guard, which made me slightly surprised.

[Ding!]

They use Mage initiates as mere guards for security, Rio wonders how strong the upper echelon of the Academy is. After he paid a fee and entered the city gate and saw the bustling city. A horseman stopped Rio before he could even take a step. 'Sir, it seems you are new here would you like a tour of the city.' Rio looked at the man and asked 'Do you have a map along with the guide?' He smiled at Rio's words and nodded before gesturing him to head inside his carriage.

With the guide, Rio saw many shops such as alchemy shops, weapon shops, guilds, and many more. Rio stopped at each shop to see if they had anything to his fancy, however, it seemed that nothing really interested him and he went to the carriage telling the guide to take him to the Magus Academy whilst looking at the map.

It seems the city is split into 3 sections. The outside layer would be where all commoners and lower-class people stayed, however, it was still bustling. The middle layer is where Nobles and middle-class people with enough money and influence stay. Finally, the Core of the city seems to be where the Royal Family stays and the Dukes and Marquises reside. It seems the Academy is not actually in the city just the sign-up point. The rough area was a forest but nobody seems to know the exact area of the Academy.

As Rio arrived at the checkpoint where he saw a lot of people around his age some even higher in 3 sets of lines, some were brimming with smiles and some walked away gloomy and crying. Rio's turn was just about to come up until "MOVE PEASANTS! You, measly people, are blocking my way, do you think a noble like me should wait with you like dogs? Step aside NOW!" A bratty girl about the same age, with Golden hair and hazel eyes.

she walked up to the counter. Rio didn't know where she was from and didn't want to invite trouble, Rio was also a noble too and he was pretty sure half of the people here were also nobles but it seemed none of them wanted to get into a fight with this feisty girl.

"Sigh, put your hand on the Stone young miss," he said trying to cover the annoyance he emitted because of all these young spoilt brats. She followed the examiner and placed her hand on the stone.

"Lana Hysuer, Age 10 High-Grade Water Spirit root

Everybody was shocked when they heard the statement coming from the examiner's mouth, the examiner's face didn't change as if these types of talents were as common as grass. The examiner gave her a token before she walked away proudly.

"NEXT!" the examiner exclaimed before I went through the same process.

Rio placed his hand on the stone.

"Rio Casmir Age 10… Top-grade twin spirit roots?? One is fire and the other one is even the rare Darkness attribute" The examiner was too shocked to even finish the sentence as he looked at Rio with a fawning smile. "Young Master Rio, how about after this, we get to know each other, I can even introduce you to an elder, we would be sure to treat you well". A whole commotion occurred after the sentence.

"Did the Examiner just say Top grade twin spirit roots?!"

"Not only does he have twin spirit roots, but both of them are also top-grade!"

"One is even the rare Darkness Attribute"

"won't he be a rare prodigy; I am so jealous"

"....."

As the commotion continued, Rio plainly replied to the examiner "Thank you senior however I would like to go through the rest of the process and see which sect would be the right one for me " The examiner sighed and nodded, before giving him a token and shouting "NEXT!".

As soon as Rio stepped aside, he was rushed by a crowd trying to befriend him or seduce him. These little ones are really shameless. Well, when raised in a world where society and family put pressure on you to be the best, you're bound to be like this even though you're this young.

Rio was pushing through the crowd, trying to have some personal space a loud voice seemed to silence the crowd.

"Hey you, Casmir it seems you aren't a lowly commoner however you're not a match for my Hyuser Family, I will give you a chance since you have Top grade twin spirit roots and allow you to be my subordinate," the girl said proudly as if not ever expecting a rejection.

"..." Rio didn't have time to speak to spoiled little kids so he walked past her and was anticipating going to the second section of the city since the equipment there is probably better. Keep him busy while waiting for the token to send the meet-up point.

"HEY! How dare you ignore me; I don't think you heard when I said I was from the prominent Hyuser Family, A family that resides in the core of the city. I am even asking you to become a subordinate instead of a slave and you ignore me!" she exclaimed making everybody aware of her presence.

'Best thing to do at this point is ignore them and mind your business; Husker family she said? Maybe they specialize in tracking' Rio ignored them and continued to see if a carriage could take him to the second gate of the Solia City

"How dare dogshit ignores me" she muttered as she charged toward me. "Since you don't want to listen, I'll have to beat the defiance out of you," she said as she swung her fist but was met with nothing but air.

"Ufff"

'Thud'

Rio reappeared behind her and kicked her to the floor "Why must I be bothered by a little girl like you, don't you have a dollhouse to play with or something? Truly annoying" Rio said as he finally got into a carriage that stopped on his signal.

"...."

A long silence eluded the air until a snicker appeared followed by more snickering until the whole place turned to full out-burst laughing. Lara turned bright red as she went back to her carriage "I am going to make sure that boy dies, Felix, find out everything about him and report him to Father, I want to see him suffer" she said in a quiet angry tone
