Chapter 261: JoJo Is Simply Amazing!
Outside the cinemas in the Eastern and Western regions:
"The movie was absolutely amazing!"
"The movie was total garbage!"
Two groups of moviegoers exited the theater and voiced completely opposite opinions, leaving everyone else present in stunned silence.
After all, their statements were genuine expressions of how they felt after watching the movie—straight from the heart.
As a result, a heated argument quickly broke out.
"You're saying the movie was garbage? Come on, it was amazing!"
"What? That so-called movie was nothing but trash. I'll never watch something like that again!"
"How dare you call the movie trash? You're the real trash!"
"You managed to sit through that garbage? You're worse than trash!"
"…"
Just as the argument was about to escalate from verbal jabs to physical blows, a staff member nearby couldn't stand it any longer and stepped in to separate them.
"Stop arguing! You didn't even watch the same movie."
Hearing this, both sides finally paused.
One person from the first group hesitated before speaking:
"Wait, what did you all watch? We watched JoJo's Bizarre Adventure."
"You watched JoJo's Bizarre Adventure? We watched The Song of the Vampire."
"So… you were bashing The Song of the Vampire?"
"And you were praising JoJo's Bizarre Adventure?"
"…"
Suddenly, by separating one movie from the other, the crowd was left standing in stunned silence, completely dumbfounded.
At the same time, the group who had just finished watching JoJo's Bizarre Adventure immediately chimed in:
"Isn't The Song of the Vampire supposed to be ten times more expensive than JoJo's Bizarre Adventure? How can it still be bad?"
"That's what I was going to say. Your JoJo's Bizarre Adventure was so cheap—can it really be that good?"
Faced with the bewildered expressions of the Vampire Song audience, the JoJo fans instantly transformed into enthusiastic promoters.
They raved about every aspect of the film, painting JoJo's Bizarre Adventure as the pinnacle of cinematic excellence. To be fair, the film really was that good.
For the Vampire Song viewers, it was hard to accept that the expensive ticket they paid for resulted in a less enjoyable experience than the significantly cheaper JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
Some were so unconvinced that they immediately bought tickets for a second screening just to see the hyped-up movie for themselves.
Others stood outside, skeptical but curious. After all, in this world where most people had plenty of free time, hanging out in front of a cinema and debating movies was just another way to kill time.
"Is that JoJo's Bizarre Adventure you mentioned really that good?" a dazed Vampire Song viewer finally asked.
The JoJo audience raised their voices enthusiastically:
"What do you mean by good? It's incredible! The entire film, from the visuals to the core story, is unbelievably amazing. Every character is so vividly portrayed, not something any run-of-the-mill stage play or novel could ever match! I still remember the iconic lines from it!"
"Exactly! Like that one: 'The human hymn is the hymn of courage. The greatness of humanity is the greatness of courage.'"
"And Dio's lines too! 'I reject my humanity, JoJo!' and 'Do you remember how many loaves of bread you've eaten in your lifetime?' For some reason, they're so damn catchy."
"…"
Seeing how the JoJo viewers talked so passionately, almost as if they wanted to rush back and watch it again, those who had just finished The Song of the Vampire were left feeling rather conflicted.
Still, their lingering doubts held them back from immediately buying tickets for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Instead, they decided to wait until the current JoJo viewers came out and shared their thoughts.
At the same time, similar scenes were playing out at cinemas across both the eastern and western regions.
Audiences who had watched JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and The Song of the Vampire argued bitterly, only to calm down later. Some decided to go in and see JoJo's Bizarre Adventure for themselves, while the rest stayed outside, waiting.
A few people, curious to find out just how terrible The Song of the Vampire really was, even bought tickets to watch it firsthand.
But before the film was even halfway through, they rushed out of the theater in a panic.
"Dear god, this is the ultimate cinematic disaster. Lord, please grant me a pair of eyes that have never seen The Song of the Vampire!"
"Is it really that bad?" those who hadn't seen it asked, incredulous.
One of the fleeing viewers grimaced. "If I hadn't watched JoJo's Bizarre Adventure before, maybe I could've forced myself to sit through this thing. But now? There's no way I can endure something so terrible!"
"How bad is it?"
"Other than the lead actors looking decent, everything else is absolute garbage!"
"Wow…"
"Forget the disjointed, dragged-out story. Compared to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, the narrative is a joke—it's like night and day. And the worst part? The director of The Song of the Vampire clearly has no clue how to make a movie. He has no idea how to frame a scene! I swear, if I stayed until the end, I'd go blind."
"…"
Those near the theater entrance were left speechless by this viewer's anguished words.
Those who had seen JoJo's Bizarre Adventure but not The Song of the Vampire found it hard to imagine a movie could be as bad as others claimed.
On the other hand, those who had watched The Song of the Vampire but not JoJo acknowledged its flaws but didn't think it was quite as atrocious as described.
Just as both sides seemed ready to argue again, the audience members who had watched The Song of the Vampire and then went to see JoJo's Bizarre Adventure finally emerged from the theater.
Their dazed expressions made it clear they had experienced something extraordinary.
"What… what happened?" asked those who had yet to see JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, confused by the stunned look on their faces.
After a long pause, the returning audience finally managed to speak:
"JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is just…"
"AMAZING!!!!" they shouted, their words bursting forth with a raw, almost hysterical passion. In that moment, every audience member who had not yet seen JoJo froze for a split second before exploding into action, rushing toward the theater.
In no time at all, the once-empty screenings of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure were swarmed by waves of eager viewers, and the once-available tickets quickly became scarce.
