Just the Beginning

My face fluctuated between pale and flushed, my anger making me tremble.

Even Monica, who had just returned from work, was fuming as soon as she entered the house and saw the scene. She quietly pulled me upstairs, "What's going on here? This bastard is shameless! What is he trying to do with this act, especially with the court session tomorrow?"

"He's just that despicable! He'll stop at nothing to achieve his goals. I've only just realized his true nature, imagine how tragically I've been deceived all these years."

"What do you want to do?" Monica looked at me helplessly, "Are we just going to let his scheming succeed? Damn it, he's too shameless!" "Quick, go and call Brooklyn for advice. My dad's just recovered from a stroke; I can't make any rash moves! I can't risk my father's life for my own peace!"

Monica nodded resignedly, "Okay, I'll go now."

After speaking, Monica came downstairs with me, briefly explained to my parents, and then left.
