The Malicious Ex-Husband

Without another word, I hung up the phone and immediately called my mother. I told her I would be the one to pick up Angel, trying to prevent her from worrying.

Then I drove straight to Ice and Snow World, a large children's amusement park known for its variety of ice cream cakes and play areas suitable for children of different ages.

My daughter is my life. Although she calls George "Dad," he had long lost the right to be called a father in my eyes.

When I arrived at the park, frantic with worry, I saw George feeding Angel ice cream bite by bite. There was a time when such a tender scene would have moved me deeply.

Angel spotted me first. She tried to jump off her chair to run to me but was scooped up by George instead. She struggled in his arms, clearly reluctant.

"Mommy!"

I strode over and, without a word, took Angel from George's arms, holding her tightly against me.
