Alone Together

When I returned to the office, I immediately sought out Williams and assigned him some tasks. Coincidentally, he handed me an investigation report.

I was a bit surprised by how quickly he had compiled it and couldn't help but praise his efficiency.

Williams, however, remained serious, "Grace, don't get too excited. This is just surface-level information. On the face of it, everything seems fine, but my instincts tell me something is off."

The investigation report was about Dora Mitchell. It detailed her birth, the years her parents passed away, when she was adopted, which schools she attended, and so on.

"Right here..." Williams pointed out, "It clearly states that she attended this prestigious school in Australia during her elementary years. However, I couldn't find any photographic evidence of her during that time." Williams highlighted the crucial point.
